I told my friend last night, when some person on TV mentioned she was a proud single mom.
What’s there to be proud about!!??
Shouldn’t be stoned to death, things happen in life.
But proud!?!?!?
My mother wasn’t a proud single mom. She was a single mom because my father died young. And I ran wild until my crazy Italian uncles straightened me out in my early 20s after I got in trouble with some gangsters.
And I had a GREAT family. Thank God everything turned out ok, but what chance do these kids have?
Women alternately wear the single mom label with pride and to try to get sympathy. Which is it? If you are a single mom because your husband died, well ok,we feel sorry for you and you should be proud you are handling parenthood alone. If you are a single mom because you hooked up with some loser, we don’t feel sorry for you and you made your bed so now you have to lie in it and there is no reason to be proud of that.
It reminds me of the “gay pride” cr@p. So you’re proud that you shove your xxx up some guy’s xxx? Clap clap clap
