A BRITISH GENERAL has warned that newly-elected Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn could face "a direct challenge" from the army if he becomes prime minister, it has been reported.

The unidentified general said Corbyn, who opposes Britain's Trident programme and supports withdrawal from Nato, would face "direct action" if he tries to downgrade the army, according to today's Sunday Times.

The general told the paper that there were be "mass resignations" and "the very real prospect of an event which would effectively be a mutiny" if Corbyn were to "jeopardise the security of this country".

Most or all of our Flag Officers are too frightened of losing their 6-7 figure post-retirement incomes to make waves.

The general’s comments puzzle me. Real mutineers would not telegraph their intentions. Morale collapse, mass resignations, apathy and disaffection are not insubordination. We have that here to an extent. The general’s comments just seem to invite a purge, but Brits say different things using the same words we use. Sort of like “good day, sir” has multiple meanings.

In general, at least from what I’ve read out of the UK since the party election...a fair number of Labor Party members didn’t participate or vote...and it sounds like fifty percent are extremely frustrated with Jeremy Corbyn. The Tories are in a great position for the next election...guaranteed to win...and the frustrated folks will have to wait until a massive fail at the polls to redo the leadership position again.

The author of the article seems to be filled with the hubris that’s so prevalent in the self-appointed superior class of brilliant, intellectual, genetically-advanced, Progressive supermen-geniuses.

IMHO

Real men don’t threaten, thy just do. My dad has never threatened anyone in his life, but, his enemies and the enemies of his friends, never turn their backs on him either.

The mutiny should be headquartered on Pitcairn Island.

The British military takes an oath of allegiance to the Queen.

They are merely "on loan" to Parliament.

A flag officer (USA) is a political appointment through congress. Follow that trail to determine where allegiance is skewed. Non-flag officers are where upheaval originates.
