I don’t understand how a guy can beat the Union machine can drop out of the presidential race so soon.
Money. Do the math.
Scott Walker is a good man, a fine governor and a real fighter. He will have a good future and who knows? In a normal election he would have been a contender but this is FAR from a normal year, and it will not be “his” year.
Nor will it be the year for all but one of those who are left, it’s just a matter of time.
Exactly what I was thinking ... I mean - Huckabee & Jindal are still in it. This is bizarre.
I think that there’s more to this than what we’re hearing.
“I dont understand how a guy can beat the Union machine can drop out of the presidential race so soon.”
Easy, he was CLUELESS about national and international policy. I’m sure he could name every governmental department in Wisconsin and how many full-time staff work in each, but he is running for NATIONAL OFFICE - it takes DECADES to prepare.
No different than Perry 4 years ago (and this year), Cain 4 years ago, and Carson/Carla now, making various mistakes.
Trump is different - he was on Oprah 27 years ago and sounded just as he does today - he’s been preparing for this as well as anyone alive.
Walker never had any real funding. I suspect that he added up the numbers and knew by October that he’d be heavily in debt and just said he didn’t want to dig out. My guess is that whoever wins in November of 2016....might hire him for a cabinet post. If not...Baldwin’s senate seat comes up in 2018 and he could easily beat her.
I would say this....back six months ago...I thought Walker would last out and be number two behind Bush at the Convention (figuring the establishment an control folks would ensure Jeb’s position). I’d go ahead ahead and predict that Jeb will barely have the funding to survive until the Iowa primary.
I dont understand how a guy can beat the Union machine can drop out of the presidential race so soon.

Because he was circling the bowl. He was successful in Wisconsin with the labor issue and obviously was popular to be elected three times in four years. But He was a one trick pony. Good Governor, no doubt, but totally a dud when it came to charisma. His positions, when he did not stumble over himself, were weak and scripted...no passion or leadership. He either had terrible advisors or he just wasn’t ready for prime time national politics. He always was playing catch up including launching his campaign late. He also was being measured to the Trump phenomena. That’s a tough standard for any candidate. And until the GOPe figures it out, its going to be a rough road for them.
it’s because he lacks foresight, strategic planning, fiscal responsibility and the high school diploma he possesses.
Money. With so many candidates there is only so much to go around. But I would have picked Huckabee or Graham or Kasich or pick-another-name to have dropped out by now. Not Walker.
Pick your battles...
