Adds former backers of Gov. Scott Walker’s campaign

HOUSTON, Texas — Today, the Cruz for President campaign announced the addition of several Iowa, Georgia, and Nevada leaders and activists formerly allied with Governor Scott Walker who will now help rally support for Cruz.

In Iowa, Phyllis Gannon of Green County, Barb Pape of Clayton County, and Dean Hamilton of Henry County will join the campaign as county co-chairs for Cruz as he continues to build a strong team going into the Iowa caucus. Louie Hunter, a Georgia state co-chair for Walker, has now joined Cruz’s team and will help organize the state for the campaign. In Nevada, Assemblywoman Vicki Dooling and Assemblyman Ira and Alexis Hansen will be part of the Cruz Leadership Team.

“We are thrilled to announce these additions to our growing grassroots campaign,” said Mark Campbell, national political director for Cruz. “We have a tremendous organization on the ground across the country and their help will make us stronger.”

I honestly think Jeb will be finished, and the fight for the nomination will be between Cruz and Trump.

I support Trump. I think he is tougher.
Sen. Cruz has a great record of accomplishments.
And, is putting together a great ground game.
When the caucuses, primaries actually occur, he could have some major wins.
If, as President, Mr. Trump chooses to fight back, Mr. Cruz would be excellent in covering his six.

The best realistic scenario I’m hoping for is a Trump/Cruz ticket. Trump, the high-level executive strategist, and Cruz the constitutional scholar, detail guy, and tactician...

Sounds like an ideal ticket which maximizes the best skills of each.

Yup. And Trump is a street fighter and will take no democrat prisoners and Cruz will watch Trump's back on a reasoned, intellectual level, with no emotion.. It's a wonderful ticket.

Gave in and watched Cruz on talk show tonight. Not particularly well received which was unfortunate. Didn’t give Cruz much of an opportunity to rebut his comments about Reagan giving big tax increase and allowing immigration. Trump may do better tomorrow night. Not best venue for Cruz.

So, Trump gets bad on civil liberties? Huh? He is all about We The People, our freedom and the USA!

Bad on Free Market? He wants create an actual free market instead of crony capitalism, bad trade deals and manipulated trade.

Bad on Healthcare and entitlements? He wants to get rid of Obamacare and institute insurance across state lines to drop the price of insurance.
He wants to give people jobs instead of importing cheap labor which will lower entitlements. Get them working and off welfare!

Bad on the 2nd Amendment? LOL Have you read his universal carry paper?

This is bogus. I’m surprised that CR would publish this nonsense.

If the last two standing are Cruz/Trump, I'm jiggy with that.

GO CRUZ.

The ratings are from the deeds, not words of the candidates.
