In 1998 John Ashcroft lost his U.S. Senate seat to Jean Carnahan. He was winning in polls easily over her husband Mel, but Mel had to go and get killed in a plane crash. Jean Carnahan won 51% to 49%. The sympathy vote can’t be scoffed at.
Looks like Joe is IN the race! Hillary is Toast! Obama threw her under the Bus. The Democrat Debate may well be as ruckus as the Republicans.
