i don’t understand why crackpots do this sort of thing. these “hoaxes” are always found out, and always after lots of unsuspecting people fall for them because they don’t have well-established critical thinking skills. and in the end, they undermine all of the real criticisms of Obama because they allow the other side to dismiss the critics as crackpots by pointing to stories about how many have fallen for hoaxes.
i don’t doubt that some of these “hoaxes” have been perpetrated by the left solely for this reason, but there is also a nutty fringe of critics who believe that they can get away with these sorts of things - but never do. there is plenty of LEGIT criticism about King Barry I of Kenya. no reason to manufacture outlandish hoaxes to make him look bad.
