The trouble is that when the GOP-e win, it is not very different from when the Democrats win, because the constituency of the GOP-e are not conservative Republicans, but multinational corporations who back the Chamber of Commerce.

Both Democrats and the GOP-e want internationalism instead of “America first”, if for different reasons. Both want open borders, if for different reasons. Both want outsourcing of American jobs by several different means, resulting in very high unemployment, if for different reasons. And both want a “police state” America, with a fully paramilitarized police and prison state, a massive, 17 agency Intelligence community, round the clock surveillance of everyone, etc., and “antiterrorism” laws that are used almost exclusively against non-terrorist Americans, the vast majority of which have not intentionally broken any laws.

Put it all together, and both Democrats and the GOP-e are savagely tearing down America, impoverishing Americans, nationalizing our culture to perverse ends, and absorbing illegitimate power like a sponge absorbs water.

And more than anything else, the Democrats and the GOP-e are terrified of conservatives successfully breaking up and ending what they are doing, and what they have done.

Unless Republicans nominate Bush or one of the other insiders, the GOP-e will refuse to support that nominee, and will try to throw the race to the Democrats. So they have no credibility to demand loyalty from conservatives.

Hopefully, a real conservative candidate will be able to muster enough support from “the silent majority”, to overwhelm both anti-American parties, and then he will have little choice but to purge the GOP-e from the party. For unless completely locked out, they will continually act as a fifth column against the party and America. With a vast amount of money at their disposal to do so.

Nope because Obama simply has to refuse to sign a piecemeal approach.

The second the RINO leadership declared they wouldn’t shut down the government under any circumstances, was the second they handed Obama ANYTHING he wanted.

I was listening to the little table debate on the drive home last night. After it ended and the CNN folks talked how Grahamnesty did best in the debate, the radio talk show host (Michael Barry) burst out laughing.

A bunch of liberal pundits trying convince republicans what was important.

It’s even more hilarious when you consider that Lindsey Graham didn’t even take part in last night’s debate!

There was another debate by the lesser candidates prior to the big debate. That is what I am talking about.

The object is to WIN. Once we win, we can do all the things he suggests with a President that is supportive of the agenda.

You really think that the GOP-E would do this if it wins both the Presidency and maintains control of Congress?

Man, you're dense.

shutting the government down won us the house in 2012.

Anyone who thinks shutting the government down hurts the GOP is misguided

Graham is an "I can't" personality type. And he has surrounded himself with fellow "I can't" types for years and years. Naturally, from his view point, he can't. So don't vote for him. In fact, get him the heck out of office entirely.

But the one thing I am not going to do going into 2016 is shut the government down and tank our ability to win... The evidence supports Graham’s assertions

Let's see...

After the LAST government "shutdown", the GOP gained 9 Senate seats and wound up with more House members than at any time since 1928.

I wouldn't exactly call that "tanking our ability to win", that is if by "us" Graham means Republicans.

I don’t think he does. The Republicans were elected to stop Obama, not to send him bills he will sign for sure. They have not even attempted to confront Obama yet on any issue and it is because the GOP “leaders” are panty waists like Graham.

Let’s see.

When the Dems were in charge of Congress and Bush was president, we were told we had to follow the Dem agenda because the president couldn’t do things on his own.

And when the Republicans were in charge of all three branches, we got “compassionate conservatism” because if we cut the budget, the Dems might win.

And now that the GOP is in charge of Congress with a Dem president, we are told that the GOP has to go along with Obama because the Congress can’t do anything.

I’m starting to see a pattern here.

But I think anything that risks the GOP being labeled as the “Party of No” again isn’t bound to help

Who does the labeling?

Do you think they are going to label the GOP "the party of peace and love" if they do what you want?

If only Lyndsey Graham had the courage of Caitlyn Jenner

In my opinion, Linda has more courage. Caitlyn is just a cross-dresser, Linda is an actual eunuch.

“Another Gov’t shutdown would make these people look spoiled and foolish.”

Why do Republicans refuse, as they did last night, to assign blame for a shutdown to Obama when he vetoes the bill. Congress is more of a voice for the expressions of the peoples’ will than the president is. In this thinking, and I believe even Huckabee mentioned it, Obama is entitled and allowed to stick up for his principles, but the Republicans are not.

Republicans bend over backwards to accept blame for a government shutdown — a shutdown mostly in name only.

I gotcha... Well, it’s good to know the leftist pundits at CNN have their fingers on the pulse of the American electorate and can detect the overwhelming bloodthirsty demand for Lindsey Graham as the next U.S. president. </sarc>

I guess that old saying comes to mind that if a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it...

“Nope because Obama simply has to refuse to sign a piecemeal approach.”

Let him refuse to sign the piecemeal legislation. Even a third tier public relations firm can develop a campaign to win that argument in social media, on talk radio, and even in the mainstream press. Whether or not the GOP can follow the script is another matter.

nope, it will never come to that, because the Republicans elites would scramble to give him whatever he demanded, because they stated from the start they would not shut down the government under any circumstance.

So they send him a bill only funding the military or social security or whatever and he says, NOPE I wont sign a stand alone bill, send me a bill funding everything or I will veto it, and if you dont like that, shut down the government!

And the GOPe runs to give him what he wants, because they have already said they would not under any circumstances shut down the government.
