Regarding Trump, this guy is right on. People don’t want to be reminded of the living, breathing double standard he represents.
We turned Mitt Romney inside out on this board four years ago for flip-flopping. Trump makes Romney look like George Washington in terms of his honesty.
We ripped Obama for his attitudes toward people and wanton disregard for the Constitution. When Trump says inane things like “let’s have the election today”, people stand and cheer.
The guy is a Democrat and a disgrace to the conservative movement. That said, the answer to the problem is not, as the author believes, more establishment Republicanism. It’s genuine conservatism, which wins elections and gets results.
But are you considering how these establishment republicans have lied and lied, saying they will do one thing and then the other, and we are supposed to believe they are pure, and vote for them yet again! Conservative seems to be a word that is much used these days, and as far as I can tell means nothing any more. Trump wants to clean up the porous border, all those “conservatives” who are so preferable in your eyes, do not. And those “conservatives” do not keep their promises in any case (such as ending Obama Care.) I’m sticking with Mr. Trump if for no other reason (and there actually are other reasons) is because these republicans who I am supposed to support LIE and LIE and LIE! They need to be fired, and Mr. Trump is a firing kind of guy.
No time better than now to burn the GOPee house down.
The liars are in Congress. They claimed to be conservatives before before being elected and then changed to be dems. I do not trust any of them.
