Big Bear is a fantastic place. Not the place to run to if ya happened to be a murdering x-cop fugitive like the one a couple years. All that was left of him was a box of ashes.
I hope everyone is OK. That is a beautiful area. I used to camp up there and prospect for gold in Holcomb Creek, and actually drank from the creek. Thirty some years later, I question the wisdom of sleeping under the stars in a place called Big Bear.
I wouldn’t recommend drinking from the creek around Big Bear,
unless want to test your resistance to giardia, that is.
