This is the sort of thing I was talking about.
[They know Islam is the real problem, but to look tolerant, they pick on everyone.]
Reminds me of September 12, 2001 here in the United States.
Draconian. Oppressive.
They basically do the same thing here.
To minister in prisons and some other situations ministers are restricted in what they can say. In most prisons, ministers are not allow to critize Islam or other religions. They’re also not allowed to critize homosexuality.
A lot of organizations receive money form the federal government. Catholic Charities receives BILLIONS per year from our federal government. They do things like set up illegal immigrants and so called refugees in communities but they’re NOT ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT THEIR FAITH. There are very strict rules to receive these grants. Rules like the illegal or refugee initiate the conversation and they are only allowed to come back at a scheduled time to discuss.
Again, we’re playing by those same rules here.
Catholics are still better off, for now, than they were prior to 1829 .... The U.K. hasn’t exactly been shy about state regulation of religion since before the death of St. Thomas Becket.
Yes, lets just ignore common sense and the elephant in the room and nail everybody so we don’t hurt any feelings.
