A pastor’s quick thinking saved lives on Sunday when a self-described “man of Islam” entered a Texas church and declared he was ready to “slay infidels.”
John Johnson III of the Corinth Missionary Baptist church in Bullard, Texas, came face-to-face with Rasheed Abdul Aziz, 40, after morning services Sept. 13. Aziz was wielding a handgun and wearing camouflage pants, a tactical vest, combat boots and a helmet when he allegedly said “People are going to die today,” KLTV-7 reported Monday.
“Immediately my mind went to the fact that I knew we had several children and young members that were playing and running in the fellowship hall, I mouthed to them, ‘This man has a weapon, I need you guys to go,’” Johnson, 45, told the station.
Johnson, a former parole officer who works with troubled teens and is trained to diffuse verbal altercations, told the Tyler Morning Telegraph on Tuesday his instincts took over in his church’s conference room. The whole exchange took roughly five minutes.

Well, it would take 200,000 angry patriots...well armed, of course.
Actually this could end up being the right possibly former-Muslim needed to lead a convert to Christianity movement.
That is if he sees the error of his way and serves his time and makes penance and truly deep in his soul asks Jesus for forgiveness and converts fully to Christianity.
Sometimes the people who plan such heinous acts are in fact down deep questioning their own evil beliefs and the validity of them. This torment can lead them to try such acts to validate their internal evil and squash their internal conscience.
The priest and his parish are damned lucky the sliver of his conscience that was in this man’s soul cried out for help and opted to listen to the priest rather than slaughtering them all.
Some of the best people to speak out against Islam and it’s evil are people who have been in similar circumstances in some point in their lives.
Pray for this man’s soul and that after he serves his time that he comes to Christ.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
It was a Baptist preacher, not a catholic priest.
Nobody converts to Islam for good reasons.
And so it begins....
