His vote was never the deciding vote. It passed by a big margin. I give him credit for standing up and speaking out his reasons for his no vote.
The final vote was the one that counted. That was the one that sent it to the President’s desk and both Sessions and Cruz spoke against it on the Senate floor.
As for TPP, when it comes up, I think there will be a lot of Republicans that won’t vote for it and most, if not all the Dems will vote against it because of the unions.
It will be handled just like the Iran deal was.
And it will pass spectacularly.
