McConnell was just re-elected in 2014. **Groan**

I think Boehner has to run next year but I could be wrong.

Reelected AFTER campaigning on working WITH Obama. And look how many said ‘No matter what”. They got ‘what” Thus it is of no matter to them to do so again.

Words mean things whether a lib says so or not.

Every House member is up every two years. The founders thought that would ensure that the people could keep a short leash on the representatives.
It hasn’t been working that way.
We voters of VA-7 showed the country that a sitting Majority Leader can be booted from office if he is a weasel and about to betray the citizens on amnesty.

Term limits are in the hands of the voters if they have the courage to use them.

RE: terms of office

Elected terms cover the length of their elective office BUT NOT the length of their serving as party leaders within House or Senate. Those are set by votes of the other members of the same party.

If there is enough public outcry about them, both Boehner and McConnell could be forced out of their leadership positions at any time. Either could also be forced out of their leadership positions by criminal charges, which I personally think each merits on a daily basis, but that is subjective opinion. McConnell might be forced out by a treason charge for allowing the Corker bill to come to a vote, but more likely, a major pubic outcry is more likely to succeed.
