I have no problem with guest workers under the following conditions:

1. no US citizens are displaced from jobs
2. guest workers are strictly seasonal workers
3. guest workers and their families receive no government benefits
4. the progeny of guest workers are not given so-called “birthright” citizenship
5. guest workers receive no favor with respect to obtaining legal status

It’s my understanding we have this now. The problem is where any of the above provisions are relaxed as is inevitable when progressives inject themselves in the process.

“3. guest workers and their families receive no government benefits”

You may want to reconsider this one. Families should STAY HOME. “Guests” don’t settle-in, they leave. Should be the same for guest-workers. Let them come here, ALONE, and then leave after a few years. Then, maybe, come back a year or two later to work again...maybe.
