Completely different IMHO.

Arnold Promised to get certain Reform issues on the Ballot during his Candidacy and he did. Whatever the reason he was Elected, that alone was an accomplishment here is CA.

Once the Propositions were set for a Vote, Arnold seemed to lose energy in pushing for them because of the massive Propaganda effort and big bucks being spent by the Government Employee Unions. The advertising against Arnold's Reform Measures was relentless.

I think he actually felt that his support in just being Elected would carry through to get his ideas passed. IMHO, he just didn't think that he had continue to fight after he was Elected. It was a fatal error on his part. All four of the Measures Arnold had promised to get onto the Ballot when he was running for Governor failed at the Ballot Box. Can't remember the final tally, but I think that all the Measures lost by a small margin. The Propaganda spewed by the Unions took its toll.

The thought here was that Arnold didn't go out and fight enough to win Public Support. He was very naive in thinking that his Election alone would insure the same People who Voted for him would support the Legislation he promoted.

There obviously weren't enough Voters to overcome the Employee Unions and the Democrats. (one in the same) After the loss, Arnold just folded his Tent saying it was the will of the People. That did it for him and he was perceived as weak and ineffective as Governor after that. Arnold couldn't deliver the goods, but he tried. The only consolation is that we could have ended up with Bustamante.

Trump on the other had, again IMHO, works hard to get what he wants done. I don't see him sitting back while other people just propose crap knowing they will get his Signature on a Bill. The GOPe, if they are still running Congress in 2017 are in for a big surprise should Trump become POTUS. Trump would have no problem gaining Public Support to get those guys off their Buts. As an aside, we all know Obama is just one lazy POS. He doesn't do any of the work, he just signs off on it and them takes credit. The Choom King's experience of Scooping Ice Cream at Baskin Robbins for a Month didn't translate to a Work Ethic. Like Trump or hate him, he is not a Lazy POS. I am actually amazed to see him everywhere he is invited, or not invited for that matter, pushing his Candidacy. He seems relentless. I don't see any comparison the Trump's Candidacy whatsoever.

(Coulter) who doesn't give a damn about unborn babies.

Yep, I was right, you've got a Coulter problem. You're delusional on the topic. I suggest you discuss it with her...

http://chat.anncoulter.com/

You realize, of course, that Coulter is a skilled polemicist who will shred you if so inclined. So if you develop the courage to address her directly, know that you will be addressing an intellect far greater than your own.

You really do have a tendency toward fanlike adulation of those you consider to be your betters, don’t you?

Why of course I do, how did you know? Reagan and Thatcher were and are two of my alltime faves!

How about you, anyone tickle your fancy? Or do you just look down your nose at the entirety of mankind?

Someone posted: “I don’t think Trump is philosophically conservative, but he is philosophically American.”

That statement is incorrect. The last half should read...”but he is all about Trump”. I believe he has no belief of any kind except what he materially wants and right now he wants to sit in the President's chair behind the President's desk and will say anything to get it.

I believe many Freepers are fed up with government so will support a monkey if it isn't a Republican or a Democrat and that's what they have in Trump - no more guiding principles than a monkey has, with a trash mouth and not a conservative or a liberal or a Republican or a Democrat - and that's how he amassed a larger fortune than his Dad left him - anything goes as long as he gets what he wants.

He admits he paid off politicians of both parties to get favors. I believe, due to his past and present behavior, he has no moral compass.

Truly, I believe if he becomes President, it will be God doing it to further the destruction of this country for its Godless sinking into depravity. I see little difference now between this country and Sodom and Gomorrah. If we are in the end times, as many believe, and I lean toward that, too, Trump would be easy to control as he only believes in himself. He has said he doesn't ask help from God or confess to God as he has nothing to confess.

If Cruz were President, God and Jesus Christ would be in the President's office with him, guiding his decisions. That won't happen with Trump as he only believes in himself.

This will be my last post about Trump. I have said what I believe to be true.

I agree.

Yes...cutting off your nose to spite your face is not smart. I "get" the rage against the GOP; I feel it myself. But the only antidote is Constitutional conservatism.

"He admits he paid off politicians of both parties to get favors. I believe, due to his past and present behavior, he has no moral compass.

Good points, IMO. Also, I believe that Obama served to soften up and prepare the fools on the left to worship a personality, as they will the AntiChrist.

Now we see Obamabot behavior toward Trump from some on the right. Until recently, I would never have said such a thing was possible.

"If Cruz were President, God and Jesus Christ would be in the President's office with him, guiding his decisions. That won't happen with Trump as he only believes in himself.

Well gee, I’m sorry. Should we seek your permission or get your approval before saying anything about Coulter on here?

I don’t know why you’re deflecting away from the obvious. It has nothing to do with something that is “sinister to our delicate sensibilities.”

It should be pretty standard and an agreed common rule for everyone. If you’re going to say something remarkably dumb and classless “tongue-in-cheek” or not, then you may as well prepare for people saying that you’ve just said something remarkably dumb and classless.

I don’t care if you’re Ann Coulter, or one of the three of us, or anyone on here.

But speaking of Coulter, her immigration darling in 2012 and even up to this year before Trump was the Mittster. Once Mitt wasn’t running for president anymore he uttered such memorable lines as saying the Republican party should “swallow hard” and basically just go with amnesty.

So maybe these people, whether it’s Romney, whether it’s Trump, with records all over the map when it comes to their positions, truly are only telling people what they want to hear without any actual fortitude to back up their promises.

Now, if Trump is the nominee and if he gets elected, I hope he does. I hope he’s different. But I’m convinced he’s going to have to have his feet held to the fire by the people more so than any candidates who have been pretty ideologically consistent all along.

This thread is over two days old, and you’re still eaten up by it.

Yeah I’m really eaten up by the fact that when someone responds to me, I try to have the courtesy to actually reply back to them-whether it’s immediately or two days later for my own reasons.

But if you want to be juvenile and go on low class insult fests, well, feel free to do that on your own.

I won’t be joining you any more in that little journey though.

I seriously doubt that anorexic, liberal-loving, abortion-dismissing Mitt Romney slobberer is on any conservative’s radar.

She’s on yours, though. You seem highly impressed by people on TV whom you perceive to be your betters.

Again, your obsession with Coulter is startling.

You have very cruel words for a woman you don’t know and will probably never meet. It speaks to your character.

BONUS COMPLIMENT: Your skill at projection puts you right up their with the progressive pundits of our age.

She supports liberals and slobbers all over Mitt Romney.

Why are you under the impression I have to meet her to know that much?

If you want to fawn over a Romney slobberer, go right ahead.

Check out your girlfriend Ann's comment on Twitter about "(blanking) Jews." Let's see you defend that.

She's an anorexic, wasted, psychotic piece of crap.

There’s nothing to defend.

The tweet was coarse and uncalled for.

She should retract it.

Here’s a whole thread on the matter:
