I don’t think Perot could have won. In hindsight can’t help but wonder if he was in the race just to help Clinton. Without Perot in the race, Bush might have squeaked out a 2nd term.

I look back at that Election and rue my vote for Perot. Even more so than my vote for McCain. I just feel like I got duped.

If Jeb somehow gets the nomination, I’m voting for None of the Above for POTUS.

All these glowing reports about Trump from Politico,The Hill,New Tork Times, should make conservatives wonder; “What’s Going On” ? I’m waiting for Huffpoo to start making nice, then you really know somethings up.

“...except that Carson has REALLY STEPPED IN IT now - I think his 15 minutes of fame are about over.”

Have been involved in some things away from tv and net for a few days. Can you tell me what Carson stepped in?

“Can you tell me what Carson stepped in?”

Said if he were the cop, he would not have shot Michael Brown.

Came out for Amnesty, using the same Frank Luntz focus-group tested talking points - among them “Learn English” and “Pay Back-Taxes”. The second one is the worst, because it shows that Carson is not even giving any thought to how to figure out back taxes from people paid under the table.

Had some other issues too.

If you look at all current polls.
Everyone is collapsing except for
Trump, Carson and Cruz. Cruz was hit in the polls when Trump entered he race but now holding where he was and climbing slightly.

I know “Hope Springs Eternal” and all that, but I looked at those polls on the link and I’m wondering if they were different graphs than you saw...Cruz hasn’t broken out of single digits.

This isn't a horse race its a marathon. Other campaigns will die as their funds dry up, with the exception of Trump, I don't think he can run out of money so he will be there in the end.
For example a poll from September 20, 2011. This poll had Rick Perry Leading everyone at 30%. Right now Trump is leading the polls at about 30% anything can change. http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/article24699283.html

It's Not really hope springs eternal. Right now there are so many candidates, by design of the GOP, its hard for any other candidates to get much. As they drop out that will change.

So via Opensecrets.org (as of June 30, 2015
I know this has changed since then, but can't see it changing much relatively since then and now
Cruz - Raised: $14,397,140 Cash on hand: $8,527,596
Most if not all other candidates in Cruz's range in the polls money doesn't even come close. He will last as the others wither away. Its not about the polls, its about money. .

That is true, but he’s not even leading in his own state? And Trump knows how to play the media game.

No for once since 1980 we are going to elect a President who will actually make some things happen. Be of good cheer.

If you want to avoid a big let down and disappointment, set your expectation low for politicians.

Sounds good....however can you name a single department the GOP has eliminated since and including Reagan?

We have the GOP to thank for the massive monster known as Homeland inSecurity.

I voted for Perot, and have never regretted my vote.

In fact Perot is what got me interested in politics and led me eventually into the Republican party (I grew up in a Democratic family)

First of all, he’d have to shrink to morph into Perot. Ross is a little shrimp with a complex about it, and a lousy haircut. Trump is so self-assured and confident, he doesn’t need to morph into anything.

Perot made a lot of noise and used a lot of words without saying anything: “America ain’t runnin’ right. We’re gonna’ look under the hood and see what needs fixin’.” Crappy stuff like that. Trump has already pointed out what’s wrong and pledges to correct it.

This Tuesday Trump will give a policy speech from the Battleship USS Iowa in California. Wednesday is the debate. I hope it really IS a debate and not a gotcha session by the moderator(s). But even if it is, Trump can handle it. And he WON’T be stooping to morphing into Perot.

Good points. I hope you’re correct.
