I wonder whether this is done for Hillary, or for “The Party” (analogies to USSR and Orwell intentional), or because a decent investigation would also turn up a lot of side dealing and emails from her correspondents sprinkled throughout our government, governments abroad, and industrial bribe patrons.
Personal emails, not government business. This actually makes things worse for her if done properly by the FBI.
We live in lawless times. Our “leaders” (aka: criminal class) have decided that laws apply to you, not to their cronies. Justice will find these arrogant, condescending fools eventually.

The FBI operates under the jurisdiction of the Justice Department so now we know where this is headed with the next shoe to drop that FBI is dropping the investigation at the instruction of the Justice department which, you guessed it, reports to that guy in the oval office. That is why because of this interlinked mechanism it took a special prosecutor to bring Nixon down. Not gonna happen here
