“In short, the GOP, pundit class, US Chamber of Commerce, et al must in actuality, not, want to win.”

Yep, Rush has been perplexed also. Nothing made sense to him for a while. How do you rationalize creating 30 Million new voters, who are likely to be 75% Democrat, being a long-term strategy for keeping the Republican Party viable?

Then he started figuring it out. To people in the business world, the ones with (often) millions of dollars laying around, they don’t really care about anything but making more money in the short term, and if they can get cheap labor, that’s what they will demand for their money.

For the Dems, it’s a perfect fit...as they get the voters too. For the Republicans - the only conclusion was that big money today (i.e., for their salaries) was a higher priority than what kind of country they are leaving for their kids and grandkids. Unbelievable, but true - nothing else makes any sense.

Usually I don’t read the long manifestos.

Glad I did read this one. Was excellent.

“One minor disagreement...Legal immigrates and their children oppose amnesty.”

I agree, didn’t meant to imply otherwise. If legal immigrants wanted Amnesty so badly, they would have propelled McCain to a historic victory in 2008, given his support for it.

Very nice article. Ive been a Republican all my life, but don’t know what i “identify” as today, to coin a popular term...I’ll never vote for a Democrat, have some Libertarian leanings because i want the government out of my life, but mostly am still just conservative. I never quite under stood what Reagan said when he would say that the democratic party had left him. I think I know now what he meant because the Republican Party has left all of us.

When I listen to Trump, I see a leader. I don’t necessarily care about the details of what he says he is going to do, I just have a feeling that he will get done what he says he will. Call that naive, or stupid, but after 4 years at USAFA and 6 years as an officer, I know a leader when I see one. Basically, I can care less at this point what party label someone wants to affix to Trump, I just see him as speaking for Americans. And after our own party has pimped us out time and again for votes and broken promises, and has destroyed this country in being complicit in funding mountains of debt, flooding our communities with illegals (Ride the PATH or the subway any day), shamimg its own citizens for being Americans, I’ve had enough. If Trump is the vehicle to restore some semblance of sanity to this country, I’m on board.

I remember at this exact same time in the nomination process in 2011 that Rush was warning us about Rick Perry. And saying that Rick Perry was bad on immigration laws and that soon Texas would go the way of California and we’d never have another GOP president ever again. But you’re right, there was never the “GOPe” big business part of the equation.

I’m glad Rush has come around on this and realizes we are fighting not only big government democrats but big business that previously had been stamped as “conservative” but is no more.

12) There is no assurance that Amnesty is a winning issue for Republicans.

Just google "reagan amnesty failure" to get an idea of what a disaster another wave of amnesty would be. Looking back it is a laughable to think that amnesty would be a success.

Yea, I too was was screaming about Perry here. Had some real drag-outs with that Ohio babe (Walker’s main cheerleader now). We knew that Perry was controlled by big business, but we didn’t know just how incestuous it had become and that it was just as bad at the national level.

But now everything fits into place. Rove collects and bundles the money from these people, and these people demand specific policies, whether or not they are in the interest of the base or even the country.

Nice write-up for you too. Like me, I suspect that you spent much of your adult life defending Republicans from what seemed to be petty attacks saying “both parties are the same”...but now those attacks seem to have some merit, at least regarding the number 1 issue of today for Republicans.

Yep, they left us - but now we’re about to send them packing. I love it!

Even if Trump does wind up double-crossing us, he has still blown the lid off of the GOP leadership.

I don't think he will but even if trump is indeed a fraud he has to build the wall, I don't see how he backs off of that one.

So at a minimum we get a wall out of the deal WHICH IS PRETTY DAMN GOOD!

I support Cruz right now but I consider Trump our nuclear option and I will gladly pull that lever and send all Trump hell down on the heads of those elitist mfrs in Washington DC who have destroyed this country.

“Just google “reagan amnesty failure” to get an idea of what a disaster another wave of amnesty would be. Looking back it is a laughable to think that amnesty would be a success.”

Yep, I remember being told that even back then the Republican elites were scared to death of Reagan because they couldn’t control him. Then they got a blessing - Reagan got shot and lost much of his ability to stand up to them. That combined with his advancing age allowed them to roll him on Amnesty. I had read later that he considered it the biggest mistake of his presidency, which it clearly was.

The Republicans that are now pushing it (either directly by letting them stay here and repopulate, or indirectly by not calling for them to return home) know PRECISELY what will become of this country if they prevail. But they also know that Republicans have been a minority party in the past...and they kind of liked that. Got nice offices in DC, invitations to all the parties, and could claim to oppose the Democrats without having to actually deliver on anything. Very cozy, and they were looking forward to that lifestyle once they gave the Democrats control of the country for generations.

But one big difference. Today’s Democrats literally HATE THIS COUNTRY and what it represents and really don’t care if we get blown off the map, because WE DESERVE IT, in their twisted minds. Just look at the Iran deal if you have any doubts (and I could write another manifesto just on this topic). This time they have to be stopped, and if that means no more invites to play golf, SO BE IT.

“I support Cruz right now but I consider Trump our nuclear option...”

That’s a great way to put it!

I think Cruz is head and shoulders our best option, but if we gotta pull the nuclear trigger, Trump is the man.

Cruz was born outside of the country to a foreign national father. He's not even close to being a natural born Citizen as required under Article II of the United States Constitution.

Ok I get it. After this post you won't see me bashing Trump anymore. I have been a conservative all my life, and have always voted and pushed for the most conservative candidate to win any office. I did hold my nose and vote for McCain and Romney because that was the only choice I saw. But that was at the end when they where the Republicans choice to run against Obama. I didn't vote for them because they aligned with my principles. I probably would have sat out and not voted for McCain if Palin wasn't part of the ticket. Trump has some very passionate supporters, who for a lack of a better way to say it, are going to vote for Trump because they are tired of loosing and want to win.

To quote Trump at the Iran Rally:

We will have so much winning if I get elected that you may get bored with winning. Believe me.
I agree. You ‘ll never get bored of winning. We’d never get bored.
We are going to turn this country around. We are going to start winning big league on trade, militarily.

Duh Winning. This was from a speech made at the Rally against the IRAN deal.

I also believe there has to be a strategic reason Cruz is aligning himself with Trump. If you look at Cruz's financials and poll numbers I believe he will last until the end of the nomination process.

I think towards the end of the race we will have 3 candidates for the Republican nomination. A RINO, Trump and Cruz. I believe that GOPe will unite around one RINO, and go hard against Trump and Cruz, which will just hurt the GOPe candidate.

I am beginning suspect Cruz may be running a "Survivor" strategy. In that show almost every time, One player will set themselves apart as the most ruthless and anybody who attacks them they are doomed to be voted off. The person though who usually wins survivor is not that person. That ruthless person usually forms an alliance with somebody who he doesn't feel threatened by. But in the end the ruthless person is not usually the winner. I think Cruz's strategy is to let Trump be Trump and let him take out the competition, and then in the end leave the American people with the Choice of Cruz vs RINO vs Trump.

I apologize to those I have offended on this forum. If Trump does end up winning the nomination I will vote for him, and will vote for him more readily than voting for McCain or Romney.

At a minimum a Trump presidency would be a daily dose of torture for those who love the political status quo. I could be entirely happy watching them be called losers and idiots on a regular basis. Also I could be guaranteed that the words “religion of peace” would never come out of Trump’s mouth in reference to Islam. I’m so sick and tired of the mealy mouthed worms in Washington DC especially in our own party. A Trump presidency would end many of their careers whether through retirement or political defeat due to emboldened outsiders.

I enjoyed your article...

One thing that I admire in Trump, well there are many, but one thing that started me liking him, is that he is a businessman...I have worked around them most of my life, I know their habits, the way they think, the things they see, that most other people can't...

He has been showing us how shallow the rest of the candidates are on the GOPe side of the isle...he's not worried about the libs, they don't have anyone there...

He is taking us on a tour to each candidate and showing us why we can't trust them and the only one he hasn't done this with is Cruz...will it happen, hummm, I don't know, depends on how Cruz's handlers and backers are going to make him work, but Cruz trusts Trump and I feel that when Cruz's backing says to take out Trump, he won't...

If you look at Graham, he's done; If you look at Perry, he's done; you look at Carly, she will be done very soon; look at Carson, Carson didn't want to do what he has been doing, he's a nice person and well known in the Medical field, but his backers and GOPe made him do this, this is what Trump is telling us; look at Jingal, he's done; Bush is done; Christy is done, the rest didn't even start...so that leaves two top candidates and they are President and Vice President....

And that is why the GOPe and the media, talking heads, washington cartel are so scared about...they have lost the party as they wanted it...

It would have been great if their plans (to elect another Bush) would have happened, but they didn't expect this massive amount of voters that are fed up with elections in general...we have had it with things being shoved down our throats...

And after this Iran mess, we are more determined than ever to get rid of how things ‘are suppose’ to run...

Just sit back and watch Trump as he shoves his way around, yes that part is entertainment, his brashness, his determination isn't....this is The Real Donald, the leader, the organizer, the brains of this operation...

Univision, Macy's, NBC, Faux News, all the rest he can do without, they are like gnats that he bats around...when he's ready to roll out the ‘plan’ your going to sit back and wonder what the heck just happened, I've worked around these guys and I have seen how they operate and they don't go after something unless they know they already have it...
