Agree with you 100%.
Courts are typically very sympathetic to the mother’s side.
I think the guy got off pretty well and hopefully can keep the kids on a decent path.

He’s a banker and had the cash to toss a bone to her and move on with his house and full custody of his children. $85,000 covered her legal expenses. It was a good deal for him that he did not have to give her at least half of his assets and shared custody.

$85K is CHEAP to make a case like this go away. Especially for an upper middle class banker. She got just enough to pay her lawyers, who figured they would likely lose.
