Amen. I admire the nude female form as much as the next straight guy, but IMHO it’s far too degrading a way for any human being to have to earn a living. Most of the women who have had to resort to it have major issues in their life and could use a church.
Thanks,I got vertigo watching the video!
I may need to study this situation up close. Got change for a 20? Ones preferable.
I’m told that forty years ago it wasn’t quite so terrible.
I wouldn’t know, wasn’t there long enough prior to being sent into exile to the locations known as “new york” and “new jersey”.
Ugh.
Can’t imagine. For years there was a Synagogue in Ann Arbor MI, possibly the area, which was not only protested, but photos were taken of those entering to identify the Jews. Best they could get authorities to do was keep them across the street. Had to use a telephoto lens.
According to another article, the club owner is worried because the church’s protests actually worked. One of his dancers left “to commit her life to Christ,” and business is seriously off.
Born in Columbus, as an adult lived there again and in Toledo. Turned down a job offer to go back to Ohio a fourth time. Where my daughter lives isn’t bad, and it’s cheap which she appreciates as a rookie teacher.
Lets put it this way. If you are at the former Crazy Horse 2 in Vegas, well... I think Roy/Rutger Hauer said it best in Blade Runner...
“I’ve seen things you people would not believe...”
Now on the other hand (she wore a glove), if you are a DIY strip club in Podunk Ruralville, I think Roy/Rutger Hauer said it best in Blade Runner...
“I’ve seen things you people would not believe...”
If the women aren’t on church property, what grounds does the church have to sue? It isn’t against the law to go topless as a woman in Ohio.
Yup. The church would be burnt to the ground, blood thrown on the parishioners and the animals of the parishioners dead.
See ACT-Up and others for details.
S... P... U... R... N. Synagogue Protest UNACCEPTABLE! Respond Now
Freedom of speech or the most effective advertising for a commercial enterprise? Last I checked, revenge isn’t a form of protected speech. What exactly is the strip club protesting?
Invite em in to church. Preach the Gospel. Remind em that Jesus wants to save them, died for their sins. Give em Bibles.
Lord only knows ... some of em might repent.
********
MILK TOAST CHRISTIANITY. The problem is that, when people get that far down into the sewer, they don’t think they have anything to repent about — they don’t think about changing until they get caught. I suppose you would have required John the Baptist to preach love to King Herod before he called-out his sin.
The church had it coming by posting the license plates of customers online. That is where they went too far. I’m guessing when the club lost the lawsuit, they got ticked off enough to do this response.
If the church would have simply protested outside of the club by handing out invitations to their church, I think this would have had a different outcome.
That church had no business doing what they did.
We are called to judge those among us, not those “in the world.” Scripture clearly teaches God will take care of those folk.
Strippers are strippers, not Herods. Call them to repentance. Not all will, but some. And there will be greater rejoicing in Heaven over even one of them, than over 99 who have no need of repentance.
So says Jesus.
Maybe YOU'RE the one who needs to repent. God hasn't given up on you, Socon-Econ, any more than He has on these misguided souls.
boy, Russia’s topless protesters blow ours away.
Taking down license plates is really acting holier than thou.
Wow. Men like to look at half naked women!! alert the media. Giuliani had them banned within any residential area of a mile, which i suppose was good,.
while he was having two affairs.
In the same vein as overheard in local neighborhood.
The Pastor was delivering his sermon about the evils of alcohol and got on a roll...
Was railing his flock should storm the booze establishments and confiscate all the booze and dump it in the nearby river.
He was finishing up his sermon and said...
Now turn to page 32 for the hymn -
‘We shall gather by the river’.....
I lived in Vegas for 2 years. After a night of Coyote hunting in the hills by what is now the NASCAR track, my roommate and I ended up in the Crazy Horse II
Let me assure you they do not have their “A” Team on duty at 6 am and what we saw fit right into that Blade Runner quote
