Yes, but it had nothing to do with the liberal crevices, which are indeed there. It had to do with the fact that Mitt was running against a man who had been in open declared war against the state for four years and a man who didn't even try to win Texas. Cruz had no such luxury. AT least his opponent was pro Texas and tried to win.
It's like Alabama playing Elon and Ohio State playing a top 20 team - and comparing the margin of victory as if it is significant. It is not in this case.
Remember, Christie won re election by 21% in Jersey - because there was no competition. Sometimes you gotta dig deeper than just the top line score to really know what is going on.
