The media pretty much seems to have forgotten. Turned on the local news this morning and there was no mention of 9/11 at all.
This is the day I dread each year.
When my family (or friends) ask me why I bother reading all this “stuff” about politics and the government, the Middle East...all this “stuff” that doesn’t really affect us, I have come to remind them, that on September 11, 2001, Flight 93 flew over our house, our little town, minutes before crashing in Somerset (the hijackers were following the PaTPike).
Many don’t want to remember, too damn many want to stay stupidly PC (the trees at Flight 93 from a crescent for example). Europe is being invaded and Jihad on our soil is listed as “work place violence.” There is no more September 10, 2001 world out there.

Local media can’t get past the Steeler headset issue last night. I almost wonder if that was intentional—not just for the cheating aspect, but for the media distraction it can cause for several news cycles. Bread and circuses.
