Senate Democrats on Thursday used a procedural device to block a vote on a resolution disapproving the Iran nuclear agreement, saving President Obama the discomfiture of having to veto a measure of opposition to a signature foreign policy initiative.
“Yes!,” came an exclamation as the number of votes to prevent the disapproval motion from moving forward reached the target of 41 required by Iran deal supporters. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) punched the air with both fists in evident delight at the outcome.
The final vote was 58-42, with Republicans—joined by Democratic Sens. Chuck Schumer of New York, Robert Menendez of New Jersey, Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Ben Cardin of Maryland—falling two votes short of the 60 needed to move forward with the resolution disapproving Obama’s nuclear deal.
The president welcomed the vote, calling it “historic” and “a victory for diplomacy.” …

It’s a victory for Totalitarian government
“Diplomacy” is nice for politicians and their “legacies” but what about the Americans, Israelis and others who are going to die because of this “diplomacy”? This guy is a creepy freak. The least the bed-wetting GOP could have done was rename the Obama/Kerry treaty, The Neville Chamberlain II Act.

It wasn’t just Israel’s left-wing parties that lost big as part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s dramatic victory yesterday. Team Obama, which pulled as many strings as it could to defeat Netanyahu, was embarrassed.
Corker needs to resign if he has any personal honor.
If Corker had any semblance of personal honor, he would not have openly aided Obama in this fashion.
Next election, if we all vote straight GOP we could capture both houses. Then there would be no stopping us.

It is a bad omen having bring the Iran Treaty to a vote on 9/11.
Methinks Corker was setup as the front man and somehow received some goodies in the process in return for if this strategy backfired he would have egg on the face but take one for the GOPreeks team.
Seems to me that it was orchestrated to be a slap in the face to the American people, never mind Israel and the world at large.
I suspect there is a lot more behind the scenes dirt on this “deal” than we will ever know. All I can say is, there is a lot of money involved. I can’t help but wonder who is getting paid to sell out the U.S. and Israel — and the rest of the sane world for that matter.
