Jerry Brown stated yesterday in a rant after the vote that he would have the California air resources board pass rules to enforce this (against the peoples wishes).

Well, I want to relate an event which may have helped my Mayor change his mind on “climate change” and all this junk stuff the Governor is trying to do to the State of California.
Several weeks ago, I received a “re-election email from my Mayor”.
I had heard him mention “climate change” stuff several times, and I was not pleased. So .. as a good voter should, I wrote back to him and read him the riot act. And .. along with my gripes, I gave him information about who he could select to check out the REAL issue of “climate change”. I also gave him book suggestions, and even offered to deliver my own copies to his office .. if he would like.
Then, I said THIS: If you pursue this “junk science” garbage and foist it upon our City, you will destroy our economy. I really don’t think that’s what you want for your legacy; and .. if you still continue to follow the “climate change” garbage, you can not count on me to EVER vote for you again.
I did not receive a reply.
Recently, I saw a video of my Mayor; while he was sitting with the Governor - and I discovered that the Governor had VETOED the new “gas plan” to force people to reduce their gas usage by 50%.
I can’t help but wonder if my conversation with my Mayor had anything to do with changing his mind; and I’m wondering if he took my advice and got the books I mentioned. And, as an aside, the Mayor looked happy in the video; smiling; and the Governor looked like a cowed puppy.
I hope someday I will be able to find out what happened in their meeting.
