Jeff Judson, the former president of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, announced Friday he is launching a long-shot challenge to unseat [RINO Texas] House Speaker Joe Straus, a perennial target of conservative activists.

"This was not an easy decision because I know what it is going to take to win," Judson wrote to the State Republican Executive Committee, citing Straus' $8 million war chest. "But I am confident that I can win, and have received a tremendous amount of encouragement from people within the district and across Texas. I intend to raise whatever funds are necessary, and am confident I can do so."

The best chance to get rid of RINO Speaker Straus will be to defeat him in the next primary. This will be the most important TX state election in the next Republican Primary.

Since 2009, all Democrat Representatives in the Texas House have joined with enough liberal Republican to repeatedly re-elect RINO Straus as Speaker despite a significant Republican majority(98 to 52). It seems unlikely that the House will ever be able to elect a conservative speaker as long as this Democrat-RINO cabal exists. The only way we will be able to get rid of Straus is to defeat him in the primary.

Yep, Joe Straus is the Texas version of John Boehner. The Texas House district 121 that keeps electing him is the kind of district that doesn’t like change and keeps re-electing the same people over and over. It includes areas of the city and suburbs that are full of staid old money and inherited wealth/status. Every city has such areas with their astronomical property values. Most of the people living there are quite liberal minded but vote republican like their great granddaddy. They live in a bubble.
