Apparently Hewitt and Christie don’t know who is fighting who or who is on what ME team.

By then it was already obvious that removing the secular dictator of Iraq had empowered both Sunni extremists allied with Al Qaeda and Shia extremists allied with Iran.

Blow me, mulshit.

As Giraldi notes, there's no evidence whatever that the IED's used against Americans came from Iran. The troops of the former Iraqi army, which George W. Bush disbanded in another move applauded by the neocons, knew perfectly well how to fashion the devices.

This article probably makes some good points, but the above is at odds with what's been reported as fact for years: that Iran supplied many of the IED's used to target Americans.

From the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 until today, I doubt Iran knew what to expect from the US presence in Iraq: a long term US presence, an Iraqi coalition government that worked, a friendly Shiite dominated Iraq, or whatever.

Iran could not have known what to expect since 2003, and the author jumps to the conclusion he needed to add to his overall theme. And he sure didn't establish that Iran never played any part in targeting US troops in Iraq.
