We Have to Assume ISIS or Al Qaeda Would Try to Take Advantage of Refugee Situation

CNSNews.com) - Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), chairman of the House Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, said what's happening in Europe is a "terrible humanitarian crisis," and while "every effort must be made," he also warned of potential danger if the United States admits Syrians and others who are not thoroughly vetted.

"We had a hearing on this just several months ago in my subcommittee. The clear consensus is that there is a real concern," King told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Monday. "We have to assume that ISIS or al Qaeda would try to take advantage of this situation."

King said his obligation -- and that of the U.S. government -- is to protect American citizens: "So we have to have a very thorough vetting process. And when people talk about large numbers coming there, I don't see how we could do that, because we have no intelligence on the ground. There's no way of knowing without extensive vetting and investigation who these people are, what their background is.

"I think one way we could do it is take refugees already in Jordan, because Jordan does have very good intelligence and also worked with them and the relief organizations over there. Maybe take some of them to alleviate the pressure on Jordan...All I'm saying is, keep our eyes open."

King said he doesn't want to explain in a year or two "why someone who came in under the guise of being a refugee was responsible for something like the Boston Marathon bombing or subway attack in New York."

Blitzer asked King if he would support "more funding to ease the crisis" that's "exploding" in Europe.

"Yeah. I certainly would," King responded. "The world has an obligation, and the U.S. -- we can go back to the Hungarian freedom fighters, Vietnamese boat people where the U.S. did the right thing. We can go back to the Jews in the 1930s where we didn't do the right thing. So we realize there's an obligation when there is a refugee crisis to step up.

"In the past, we did not have to worry about those refugees being infiltrated by people who carry out attacks in the U.S. I use the example of the Tsarnaev brothers who carried out the Boston Marathon bombing. They were vetted. They had been given in political asylum as refugees and we saw what they did.

"So I'm willing to say that the overwhelming, maybe 90 percent, 95 percent -- who knows what the number -- a very high percentage of refugees are people who deserve and should receive humanitarian aid, but I'm concerned if you get five, 10, 15, 20, whatever the number of terrorists coming in, the damage they could cause, the devastation -- and this week of 9/11 (anniversary), I'm particularly reminded of that."

British Prime Minister David Cameron said his country would resettle up to 20,000 Syrians from camps in Turkey, Jordan and Syria over the next five years.

"The whole country has been deeply moved by the heartbreaking images we have seen over the past few days," he told Parliament. "It is absolutely right that Britain should fulfill its moral responsibility to help those refugees."

French President Francois Hollande said his country would take in 24,000 refugees over the next two years.

Germany, which has an open-door policy toward refugees, has promised to spend billions of euros in extra aid for those already there and those yet to arrive.

According to the Associated Press, more than 340,000 people from the Middle East, Africa and Asia are already seeking refuge in Europe.

We've been reading where the Muslims on board these boats are tossing the Christians off to drown. There's surely terrorists amongst them who are going to deliver mayhem to their new host country. Merkel is ignorant or complicit.

They must stay in the country in which they were born instead of bringing their hell on earth to another clueless, unsuspecting country.

Australia'a response to to ships full of illegal immigrants trying to get on their island is the right one.

Australian navy and immigration people turn the ships around and even pay the captains to take them back where they came from. They do not accept illegal immigrants or take refugees and neither should we, the USA. However, with the Muslim-Commie ninny at the head of our pitiful state we'll keep pouring them in and stacking them away to fester until they get their super bombs made;

Find the traffickers who are smuggling these people, hunt them down and shoot them.

ISIS and Al Qeada are primarily responsible for it.

Assad had his part to be sure but Syria is better than 50% under the control of ISIS.

We have to assume ISIS and Al Quaeda (and the Saudis and Erdogan) are FACILITATING this.

Are you kidding me??

Look at the story on the front page of Drudge about refugees already shouting allah Akbar and yelling F*** You! They are throwing feces and grabbed and old women by her hair to try and steal her car.

Yeah, the corrupt MSM are showing only family pictures and the body of a supposedly drowned boy, but the reality seems far different.

Good luck, Europe

I’m already seeing people twist scripture to say that we must take these refugees in. The pope included.

Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan to illustrate that all mankind is our “neighbor,” even strangers, and that we’re to help each other.

Read the parable. Note that the Good Samaritan helped the stranger, made provision for his care, but DID NOT take him into his home!!

Best thing we can do for this refugee situation is make it possible for them to return home. through force and military might if necessary.

What this nincompoop is overlooking is that the 95% who might NOT be terrorists themselves will SURELY SUPPORT the terrorists when they act.

And what happens when the next generation comes? Going to have a bunch of “Tsarnaevs” on our hands.

No doubt about that.

The Tsarnaev brothers were still in elementary school when they arrived.

They spent all their formative years in the US being immersed in US culture.

Didn’t save Boston though.

Assume?

THEY SAID THEY WOULD.

I assume some of the Isis crowd is working for Obama in the White House and on the Hillary campaign right next to some of Ramos’s family.

Why try?

Just keep their sorry asses out and round up and deport all those who slipped in.

“Take advantage” of it? I’d be shocked to learn that they weren’t heavily involved in planning it!

We don't just assume, we know that they will take advantage. At least those of us who have some common-sense.

Show me one Middle East country that is better off today than when George W. left office.

Well, there is one, but just one!

HALTING THE IMMIGRATION INVASION OF THE WEST!
Pack ALL the muzzies among them back aboard a ship or train BACK to whereverthehell they came from along with a rifle and 500 rounds of ammo for each military age individual — male and female — and any older men who want to fight for their freedom.

During the trip back, REQUIRE them to watch a short video of the sort linked below (with subtitles in their language).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkyEtw8lBtI

Once offloaded, and under armed military control to prevent them from turning the weapons on their “liberators”, pass out the weapons and ammo with a map pointing out where current satellite images indicate the folks they’ve fled are located, pat them on the back and wish them luck!

BTW, why wouldn’t that work for the Mexican and Central American illegals here? Only difference is that the folks they need to wipe out are the crooked politicians and drug cartels now running their homelands?

Only a matter of time before these “refugees” board a plane in Germany (or anywhere else in Europe) and “vacation” in the Estados Unidos..

Fun times for all.... /s
