Republican presidential candidate former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said on Friday during an appearance on Fox News that serial killers got better treatment by the American justice system than the Kentucky county clerk who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
Huckabee has been one of the most vocal presidential candidates to defend Rowan County, Kentucky clerk Kim Davis after she was jailed Thursday on contempt of federal court.
The ex-governor brought up the comparison to serial killers during an interview on Fox's "America's Newsroom."
"Jeffery Dahmer got bail, the Boston Stranger got bail, John Wayne Gacy got bail," Huckabee said. "Kim Davis, because of her convictions, was not given bail."
Huckabee said he will host a rally on Tuesday in Grayson, Kentucky in support of Davis.
"What she did was follow the Kentucky Constitution," he said. "This is an unbelievable moment in American history."

Homosexuals to the right of us, lesbians to the left of us, pedophiles front and center, while trannies move up from the rear! We’re completely inundated with perverts. What to do?
Too bad we can’t declare them all seriously nuts and toss them into rubber rooms to study like lab rats.
Political prisoners don’t get bail.
“Political prisoners dont get bail.”
Exactly. People who jailed for contempt of court don’t ever get bail. Huckleberry needs to stop talking to avoid saying something stupid.
Question to the FR legal experts: Kim Davis is in jail because of contempt of court due to her enforcement of standing Kentucky law AND to teach this Christian a lesson, according to the judge. My understanding is that when a judge puts someone in jail for contempt of court, there is no way out of jail ever unless you do/say whatever the judge tells you to do/say to the judge’s satisfaction. Is that correct? Is there anything short of impeaching this judge for gross judicial misconduct that can be done to help Kim Davis? This is not the first time this little weasel has abused his power. Long overdue to bring it to the tyrants who are violating their Constitutional oath on a daily basis.
I think Huckabee could be more effective promoting causes like this if he wasn’t running for president. He isn’t going to win and this just looks like opportunism. But if he wasn’t running, he would probably have a larger platform and would be able to gain some traction.
Why start now?
Jeffrey Dahmer was gay. John Wayne Gacy was gay. Kim Davis is a Christian. In the eyes of liberals and especially black-robed thugs, Christians are deserving of less consideration than murderers, especially gay serial killers.
Hey now!
Exactly. People who jailed for contempt of court dont ever get bail. Huckleberry needs to stop talking to avoid saying something stupid.*
Since Mt McKinley has a new name, will Alaska be re-named Siberia so that the neo-Soviets can send the new wave of political prisoners there?
RE: Kim Davis is in jail because of contempt of court due to her enforcement of standing Kentucky law
KENTUCKY LAW PROHIBITS SAME-SEX MARRIAGE.
SOURCE:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-sex_marriage_in_Kentucky
EXCERPT:
In November 2004, Kentucky voters gave Kentucky Constitutional Amendment 1 75 percent of their votes. It reads:
“Only a marriage between one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in Kentucky. A legal status identical or substantially similar to that of marriage for unmarried individuals shall not be valid or recognized.”
The above was struck down as unconstitutional by a Circuit Court Judge.
There is currently NO LEGISLATION in Kentucky recognizing gay marriage.
In other words, any recognition of gay marriage in Kentucky came NOT AS A RESULT OF LEGISLATION but COURT ORDERS.
QUESTION: Are judges allowed to legislate from the bench? If the answer is ‘yes’. Congress and all state legislators might as well pack up and go home and let judges do their job for them.
If the judiciary unilaterally legislates all the time, and this is allowed to proceed without incident and we only pathetic protest which is never followed up by action, judges then are the DE FACTO lawmakers of the land.
Here’s the interview from Sept 4 2015

I'm thinking that opportunity only exists in the rear view mirror. I agree with many of his other points on this matter regarding the decision having eliminated the KY law on marriage so the clerk has no further authority to proceed until the legislature acts. Good point that can't really be adequately addressed by the opposition and exactly when he exhausted his knowledge on the situation. Shutting up was the next move but that's not in the politician's skill set.
Umm, the Huckster is an opportunist...

Fire in all directions!
When General Chesty Puller and 1st Marine Regiment (1st Marines) were surrounded by Chinese Communist divisions during Chosin Reservoir said: “We’ve been looking for the enemy for some time now. We’ve finally found him. We’re surrounded. That simplifies things.” We’re in that situation now.
