For ease of maintenance, cost, and commonality of fuel, replace the 3,600 shp radial engine with a 4,600 shp turbo-prop. Gaining 1,000 shp and losing 1,000 lbs in weight. Now that would provide some bad ass performance, if not aesthetics. The vertical stab could also be decreased, without having to compensate for the tremendous torque onset.
