Some people are coming from outside the area for the purpose of being turned away, and to watch the expression on the faces of others turned away. How sick is that?

As I mentioned, this stuff is far above my pay grade, but

Is there some rule that when a law is nullified that it has to have 2/3’s of congress voting to nullify AND 2/3’s of the states voting for it to be nullified?

The bottom line in this issue, as you’ve pointed out, is that

The supreme court basically gave an opinion that state marriage laws are unconstitutional when they ban gay marriage, the federal court steps in and has basically declared that all state marriage laws are illegal that ban gay marriage

Which in essence nullifies state marriage laws-

NO new marriage law has been issued by the state that forces clerks to issue gay marriage liscences

and therefore Kim has broken NO law

And besides all this, the federal government Has NO right regulating state marriage laws because marriage is NOT listed in the constitution.

This I believe is the defense that Kim’s lawyers is going to take after reading about the issue these last few days-

Kim has broken no law because Kentucky has NOT issued a law demanding clerks issue licenses to gays, AND the federal government has no business ordering states to do anything regarding marriage-

The interracial marriage ‘law’ that was enacted back In the 60’s shows that states do NOT have to comply with such orders- all the states did comply with that one- eventually- but some didn’t comply until 2000 some 30 years later- Not sure if county clerks were thrown in jail for not ‘complying with’ an illegal ‘federal laW’ back then or not?
