David Cameron reveals Islamic State plot to kill the Queen, royals

BRITISH forces launched a drone strike in Syria to kill three Islamic State terrorists who had plotted to kill the Queen and other members of the royal family by detonating a huge bomb at the country’s VJ Day celebration, Prime Minister David Cameron has revealed.

“There was a terrorist directing murder on our streets and no other means to stop them,” Mr Cameron said about the lethal Aug. 21 drone attack — the first UK military action in the Syrian civil war.

Two of the cutthroats were Britons, he said, who had helped hatch the twisted scheme to assassinate Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and likely hundreds of others by blowing up the 70th anniversary VJ Day celebration in Whitehall on September 15.

Apologies to Americans on an American based site, but some of the words of the national anthem of the United Kingdom, and the Royal Anthem of most of the Commonwealth of Nations seems too appropriate not to share - especially as they are from lesser known verses.

God save our gracious Queen
Long live our noble Queen
God save the Queen
Send her victorious
Happy and glorious
Long to reign over us
God save the Queen

O Lord our God arise
Scatter her enemies
And make them fall
Confound their politics
Frustrate their knavish tricks
On Thee our hopes we fix
God save us all

Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour
Long may she reign
May she defend our laws
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
God save the Queen

Not in this land alone
But be God's mercies known
From shore to shore
Lord make the nations see
That men should brothers be
And form one family
The wide world over

From every latent foe
From the assassins blow
God save the Queen
O'er her thine arm extend
For Britain's sake defend
Our mother, prince, and friend
God save the Queen

And the only solution to this problem from the Leftists’ perspective?

Import more of them!

Her devoutly Christian son who is one of the few significant figures in the world to have publically made speeches about the oppression that Christians in the Middle East deserves a lot better than people believing the lies of the left wing media that you seem to have swallowed wholesale.

The Prince is nothing like the caricature that you have been given.

Not to mention the fact that he was also a target in this plan and was present along with his mother at the place where the attack was meant to take place, both of them having refused to consider not attending because of the security threat.

The Prince of Wales. Don't believe the crap the liberal media tries to feed you about him - when they don't publish anything he says that they disagree with, and only publish the few things he says that they like, and because he's a conservative, they try to make him out to be a joke by selectively publishing only certain photos and ignoring everything else he does. This, added to their hero worship, of the later Princess of Wales, that makes them think they have to paint him as a villain in that very complex situation (he was far from faultless, but so was she), means people have a very warped idea.

Read the following, which is from a speech he made just because Christmas in 2013 - have you heard about him saying these things? Because it's also not the only time he has done it.

For myself, I have for some time now been deeply troubled by the growing difficulties faced by Christian communities in various parts of the Middle East. It seems to me that we cannot ignore the fact that Christians in the Middle East are, increasingly, being deliberately targeted by fundamentalist Islamist militants. Christianity was, literally, born in the Middle East and we must not forget our Middle Eastern brothers and sisters in Christ. Their church communities link us straight back to the early Church, as I was reminded by hearing Aramaic, Our Lord's own language, spoken and sung a few hours ago.

Yet, today, the Middle East and North Africa has the lowest concentration of Christians in the world – just four per cent of the population and it is clear that the Christian population of the Middle East has dropped dramatically over the last century and is falling still further.

This has an effect on all of us, although, of course, primarily on those Christians who can no longer continue to live in the Middle East: we all lose something immensely and irreplaceably precious when such a rich tradition dating back two thousand years begins to disappear. It is, therefore, especially delightful to see such a rich panoply of church life here to-day, including the Antiochian, Greek, Coptic, Syrian, and Armenian Orthodox Churches, the Melkite, Maronite, Syrian Catholic, Chaldean, and Roman Catholic Churches, as well as the Church of the East, and Churches established, dare I say it, somewhat more recently, including the Anglican Church!

In saying all this about the difficulties facing the Christian churches in the Middle East I am, of course, conscious that they are not the only faith community in this region suffering at the moment, nor is the Middle East the only part of the world in which Christians are suffering, but, given the particularly acute circumstances faced by the church communities in the Middle East to-day, I felt it worthwhile to draw attention to their current plight. It is important to note, above all, that the decline of Christians in the region represents a major blow to peace as Christians are part of the fabric of society, often acting as bridge-builders between other communities.

So he’ll be strapping on a uniform and demanding a Declaration of War when exactly?

He’s also served his country in uniform, but he would do it again if somebody could find a role for a Naval Lieutenant in his late 60s (which in military terms is what he is and all he is really qualified to be) and wanted him. He can’t call for a declaration of war constitutionally, but he does what he can to support those who are fighting them whenever he can.

It’s un-Constitutional for him to state that he’s in favor of war?

I recently shook the hand of an American service man who had his right leg amputated at the knee, in his 50s. He asked and got a 4th deployment to a combat zone.

If your military can’t find a “role” for him you need a new High Command. Just saying.

And what you read was absolute garbage.

First of all, it isn’t true - I know the man and he is a Christian, and more of one than I am. But, secondly, even if it was true, it would never have been something there was any evidence for. It could have triggered a constitutional crisis.

So basically any such story is made up. It would almost certainly be made up, even if it happened to be true - which it isn’t. I actually didn’t realise how devoutly Christian he was until recently. I thought he was fairly agnostic and simply went along with Anglicanism because of his role. It turns out he is actually genuinely Christian - more so than the majority of people still in the Church of England (but it would be awkward for him to change Churches even if he wanted to).

He not anti-Muslim - as long as we’re talking about those who simply want to practice their religion in peace and not cause problems for anybody else, and he will treat those people with respect - but he is more aware than most people of the fact that there are many who profess Islam who are not peace minded and he has no time for them at all.

I’m confused when you said that Charles “was present along with his mother at the place where the attack was meant to take place...”

If the VJ celebration in Whitehall is scheduled for September 15th, it has not taken place yet, correct?

He won’t be the first Christian caricatured by the media. I read someplace today that the Queen is worth about 30 billion dollars. I assume he’ll get that if he doesn’t die before his mom, who seems to be doing great at eighty-eight.

I hope you are correct. Honestly, though, I don’t put any confidence in that Anglican Church at all. Hopefully, he supplements his Christianity elsewhere.

I'll take your word for it. However Great Britain ceased to be a Christian nation at least a couple of decades ago. For the most part British citizens are ambivalent about Christianity and probably could care less if their king was an Anglican or a Muslim. They's probably prefer he was an atheist like them.

It’s un-Constitutional for him to state that he’s in favor of war?

As heir to the throne, he has to be aware that he could become King at anytime. As King, he constitutionally cannot be opposed to the policies of 'His Majesty's Government'. Nor can he advocate policies that the Government is not in favour of. He can support a war that Britain is fighting - and he does support such things - but he is very limited constitutionally in what he can publically do. That's the nature of the Constitutional Monarchy that applies.

If your military can’t find a “role” for him you need a new High Command. Just saying.

He still carries out ceremonial roles as appropriate (and he actually holds honourary rank as a Field Marshal in the Army, and Admiral of the Fleet in the Royal Navy, and as a Marshal of the Royal Air Force for those purposes) - but honestly, while he did his duty competently as a junior Naval officer, but there's a reason why he never went beyond substantive Lieutenant. He wasn't particularly good at it - he wasn't bad, but he wasn't anything special. If there was a real desire to, and he wanted it, they could find him a desk job somewhere, but he would not be doing anything particularly important.

The Prince is a reasonably intelligent, very well educated man, who does his best to do his duty - but he's nothing special, except for the constitutional role that was placed on him by an accident of birth. I'm his friend so I will defend him against what I think is unfair criticism as I am doing here - but if I was still a serving officer I wouldn't want him placed above me because he hasn't earned that, and I'm not sure what job I could find for him that was both useful if he was under my authority. He was a decent junior officer, forty years ago. That's it, in terms of an actual military role.

The date on the article is wrong - VJ Day is August 15th, and the ceremony in question was held then.

Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall attends the Drumhead Service during the 70th Anniversary commemorations of VJ Day (Victory over Japan) on Horse Guards Parade August 15, 2015 in London, England
