Look for HH to be the ‘conservative’ token on MSM panels for the next year.

That is total bs.

If Hewitt was so concerned about the Middle East he would not be all in for the Corker bill. The other day I heard him rationalize why this bill was so good that it showed how all in he is for the rinos at any cost even if the country gets blown up.

We are getting the Iran bill because of the Corker bill and because the rinos do not want to do anything. Hewitt is all in for those types.

The way he supports this Corker bill shows how pathetic he is and not that concerned about the Middle East. You can see he does not want to talk about it and wants to avoid his support of that bill which he knows is a political nightmare and very dangerous to the country.

So in order to deflect blame from himself he makes Trump look like the bad guy.

More concerned with the suspicious nature of the Fiorina interview. Lisen to it. That makes the Trump one suspicious as well...

Exactly. Hewitt is CNN lite. He is selling out for prestige and relevance.

Here’s your big gotcha question:

********************************

HH: I would thought that today, this is our sixth interview, I’d turn to some of the commander-in-chief questions. Are you ready for that?

DT: Okay, fine.

HH: Are you familiar with General Soleimani?

DT: Yes, but go ahead, give me a little, go ahead, tell me.

HH: He runs the Quds Forces.

DT: Yes, okay, right.

HH: Do you expect his behavior…

DT: The Kurds, by the way, have been horribly mistreated by …

HH: No, not the Kurds, the Quds Forces, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Quds Forces.

DT: Yes, yes.

HH: …is the bad guys.

DT: Right.

HH: Do you expect his behavior to change as a result…

DT: Oh, I thought you said Kurds, Kurds.

HH: No, Quds.

DT: Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you said Kurds, because I think the Kurds have been poorly treated by us, Hugh. Go ahead.

HH: Agreed. So Soleimani runs the Quds Forces. Do you expect his behavior is going to change as a result of this deal with Iran?

A properly versed interviewee should be able to handle any question. My only criticism of a gotcha is that it might be a waste of time.

My point is Trump supporters are reacting emotionally to every perceived slight. What Kelly did was the worst, most vicious attack by a debate questioner of all time. What Hewitt did was ask a pertinent foreign policy question which Trump didn't hear correctly over the phone. To turn this into an attack by Hewitt is hysterical, not mention childish.

By the way, asking about General Soleimani, the most powerful terrorist leader in the world, is not the same as asking about some obscure potentate in West Outer Dumbkowskia, which is what the libs try to do to conservatives.

I used to like Hewitt especially when there was some legal thing to be explained.

When I recently heard him stand up for the Corker bill it was amazing. He maybe said 3 sentences about it and moved on. Now he is spending hours on how the Iran agreement needs to be defeated, how it is terrible when in reality it is his support of the agreement that has created the problem. Then grilling Trump over what he knows and implying that not knowing the answers would be a big problem is simply absurd.

The problem is that Corker bill and the rinos. Hewitt cannot get far enough from discussing that bill because he is complicit in creating this mess.

One thing I can say. Rush is Rush and he does not change much. During this election cycle a lot of media types seem to be changing into hyper partisans.

Trump should learn from president Reagan! When asked similar gotcha questions about names of middle-east terrorist groups, Reagan’s answer (paraphrasing) was “when I am inaugurated, I do not need to know their names, they need to quickly learn MY NAME!”

A brilliant answer!

Well I think this issue is a nothing burger. Trump is a very accomplished man. He’ll figure it out when the time comes. No worries.

“Henry Ford probably couldn’t change the oil in a model A...but he revolutionized the auto industry (and all industry for that matter).”

Henry Ford could probably put together a Model A by himself.

After all, he built a gas powered engine from nothing, a prototype for the Model T. Ford was a brilliant engineer, mechanic, businessman, and organizer.
