Colleges brainwash students into believing 9/11 was our fault
NY Post ^ | 6 September 2015 | Paul Sperry

Case in point is a freshman-level English class taught at several major universities across the country called “The Literature of 9/11” — which focuses almost entirely on writings from the perspective of the Islamic terrorists, rather than the nearly 3,000 Americans who were slaughtered by them.

“These readings offer points of view that justify terrorism, paint the United States and its government as wholly evil and immoral and desecrate the memory of the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks,” the UNC College Republicans said in a recent letter to Chancellor Carol Folt.

We are so doomed. Donald Trump may be the only one who can save the day.

If college students are that naive and easily misled, they have no business being in college.

That said, sometimes as a student, you have to "parrot" back to the professor what he wants to hear. The myth of discussion and give and take is just that - a myth. Sometimes these so-called "journalists" zero in on the surface, and never dig for the REAL facts, because they are looking for a "shock" piece to make a name - and because the vast majority of journalists are morons.

If Clinton’s bombing of an aspirin factory, and his not taking out Bin Laden because he was golfing count as factors, then it was “our” fault.

We are paying some “professor” to justify 9/11 terrorism? Incredible!

This is far worse a scandal than the fake courses for the football players.

In my experience, most conservatives can’t be bothered to vote in college administrative races.

I’ve paid attention. Here in Michigan where republicans have been winning all the legislative races, we’re still outnumbered 2 to 1 in most college administration and board of education races.

UNC.

A LOT of Middle Eastern oil money goes to UNC. UNC even has a campus in the ME.

Anyone see any bias in that?

For me I need more information.
Are the writings treated sympathetically?
Then there may be a problem.

Reading and discussion are not in and of themselves problems.

Reading Mein Kampf does not make one a Nazi.
Reading the Koran does not make one a Muslim.
Reading these letters and journals does not make one a jihadist.

I take issue not with the material, but rather express concern with how that material is handled.

Much of our media seems to want people to think that we were and are a colonial power. Many misinformed young people believe this. The United States of America began as colonies, not the dominant power. Ignorance is a weapon of the left.

those WTC buildings came down, since they were obviously pre-wired with explosives.

if Trump wins, he could inaugurate a true and objective analysis of all the unanswered questions as to how those WTC buildings came down
No, I was thinking more along the lines of shaming / deriding the professors and their complaisant colleges into submission.

Neel Ahuja “an associate professor of English

In Ahuja’s twisted worldview, al Qaeda terrorists are the real victims. “Abu Zubaydah’s torture may be interpreted as simply one more example of the necropower of US imperialism, the power to coerce and kill targeted populations,” Ahuja recently wrote in an academic paper criticizing the war on terror. He says America’s depiction of the 9/11 terrorists as “monsters” is merely an attempt to “animalize” them as insects and justify “squashing” them in “a fantasy of justice.” This colonialist “construct” of an “animalized enemy,”

You can’t convince me of that. You’d have to be incredibly stupid to think as much.

Could have just asked Ron Paul or Obama’s Pastor.

No need for a university course.

I think the degree of brainwashing done in academia is dwarfed by the brainwashing done through popular culture. Particularly on the internet where the kids spend most of their time.

American Leftists have an obsessive need for psychic masturbation.

And, even worse, they absolutely insist on doing it in public.

UNC-Chapel Hill is a state school. The North Carolina General Assembly and State Senate have oversight authority.

Both houses have Republican majorities

Freepers who live in North Carolina should call their State Reps and Senators to demand an investigation into this. They should also encourage their friends and family in NC to do the same.

A key area to be looked at in any investigation, something that should be explicitly mentioned in any email or letter or phone call, should be whether these are classes that are self-developed by the professor(s), or if they are packaged by an outside group and supplied complete to the professors.
