There’s a lot left out of the story. Just to show up and say you are ready for university classes....won’t happen. You can figure at least six months of language classes and some type of entry exam to ensure your capability is such to make it in the university system.
If you were enrolled in a Damascus University or such....you will still have to make it through the language classes, and it won’t be simple or easy.
Then comes this fact which few people (especially Germans) realize....the population is Germany is shrinking. If they did absolutely nothing, then within twenty-five years...they’d have 65 million people, instead of the 80 million today (2015 numbers). They have absolutely no choice in gathering and getting more people into the population or face problems within the economy or industrial side.
Before anyone hypes Islamic influence and how this could go negatively....remember....you are talking about Germany, where tens of thousands of people lose their religion every single year. A large segment of this Islamic group will dump their religion within the next couple of years. As for the Islamic birth rate and possible negativity that could arise out of that? Funny thing...after any immigrant arrives and figures out the cost of living and income taxes....everyone goes to a one-kid or two-kid family planning situation....even the Muslims. You can’t afford big families.

My understanding is that Germany has an excellent vocational/technical training system that helps those who don’t have the IQ or educational background to meet university level standards.
Why do they have to go to universities? What about training to learn a trade?
