Immigrants
There are 10.4 million students from immigrant households in public schools, accounting for one in five public school students. Of these students, 78 percent speak a language other than English at home.
Overall, one in four public school students now speaks a language other than English at home.
“Its probably because all those retarded californians keep moving here and diluting our gene pool”
It’s more likely that your illegals are just dumber than ours!
Probably because there are so many illegals living there. Most of the low I.Q. ones will go on to become “immigration lawyers” where the tyrants in the black robes can continue to bail them out when they get in over their heads.
maybe so, but we have illegals for years, while californian immigrants are a recent phenomena, hence the decline in our SAT scores. Too busy on facebook, texting on iphones, oogling Mylie Cyrus wardrobe, and making their hair look messy....
So a larger precent of California illegal students are not going to school than those in Texas, so they are never tested despite the fact that they would score very low on any test due to their illiteracy.
Orientals in California score off the chart on standardized tests so they bring up the minority average score.
Think students who “no hablo” might be a factor.
A yuge factor.
Well this ain’t slowing down Houston ISD’s march to multicultural caliphate. They are teaching Arabic to 4-6 year olds now. Claiming cognitive ability increases with two languages (and a staff full of anti-semites).

Should’ve offered the test in Spanish.
When I moved to Texas in the mid-1980’s slightly more than 65 percent of the adult population in Houston had a college degree. Last time I checked it was something hovering around 30 per cent had at least one year of college.
I think not being able to read or speak English may have something to do with it. Texas needs to import some Asians to raise the curve.
Well could it be all the folks from New Orleans that “landed” in Houston????? Sometimes I find that the news people don’t investigate anything anymore. I guess too much trouble when you can just throw a “startling” article out basically trying to bash Texas and praising California......gee, I wonder what the difference is between the two states.....hmmmmm.
