Hungarian Prime Minister Tells Muslim Refugees ‘Do Not Come’
TIME ^ | 09/04/2015 | Mark Rivett-Carnac

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has a clear message for the European-bound Muslim refugees fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East and Africa: “Please do not come.”

Speaking outside the European Union headquarters in Brussels, he said: “I think we have a right to decide we do not want a large number of Muslim people in our country,” al-Jazeera reported.

“We can’t guarantee that you will be accepted,” Orban went on to say, while defending the decision to build a fence along its Serbian border.

The fence is one of several new initiatives designed to make it difficult for refugees to cross into Hungary. The others include tighter asylum laws, penalties for illegal entry and a plan to close permanent refugee camps.

“We Hungarians are full of fear,” Orban said.

Orban made these statements as refugees on Austria-bound trains were stopped short of the border and forcibly taken to camps near the town of Bicske. The refugees boarded the trains after a two-day standoff with police at the Keleti train station in Budapest ended on Thursday.

COMMENT FROM JAZZ SHAW OF HOTAIR:

http://hotair.com/archives/2015/09/04/hungarys-pm-is-probably-not-as-crazy-as-youve-heard/

EXCERPT:

... the common consensus is that Orban is a hateful, bigoted creep, right? But when you look at what he’s saying I have to wonder how much of this bashing is populist pressure from more socialist leaning forces which ignore some of the PM’s basic concerns. Chief among these is the idea of maintaining the sovereignty of his own nation and not having either the EU or the UN dictating what will go on inside their borders.

But it is also about smaller countries objecting to having policies imposed upon them by others.

That, though, is exactly what may be about to happen. The big guns are moving into position.

France and Germany are putting forward joint proposals for a mandatory quota system that could see more than 100,000 refugees distributed “more fairly” across the EU.

They have been in close contact with the European Commission and the European Council.
I’m not saying Orban is a saint or that he’s perfect by any means, but what’s really so destructive about the position he’s taking? He’s trying to hold on to the border integrity of his nation and is wary of accepting a flood of people with no allegiance to their flag. Also, considering where these folks are coming from, is it truly all that crazy to be suspicious? I can’t imagine a better time for a terrorist aligned radical to make their way deep into Europe than the middle of a flood of refugees.

Conditions at the camps that Orban set up seem to be truly horrible, though, and if they are going to accept some refugees temporarily they really need to do a better job of making sure that food and water make it to the people staying there. But when it comes to questions of how many migrants they are willing to take it, it seems to me that this is a question for Orban and his citizens to decided, not France and Germany.

I don’t have a problem with the deplorable conditions in the camps. Make them hellholes so the people will want to leave, not stay.

The last time the Muslims came to Hungry in the 16th century it did not turn out well. Why would they want to repeat that?

He should have said:

"We guarantee border crashers will be shot!"

What does it say about the hellholes they came from.

The Muslim world is responsible for their plight, not Europe.

They need to go fight to make something of their own countries and not sponge off others.

Every country has and should have the right to admit only those it wants to admit. Admitting Muslims will not turn out well for non-Muslim countries.

Every country has and should have the right to admit only those it wants to admit.

This is a simple truth, one that will get you called a racist and a nativist, not that you should care.

Why are the Europeans hanging tough?

B/c Europeans (like Americans) live in rich countries. They’ve worked hard for what they have...it did not come easy.

These Mideast invaders are cunning-—shouting about “freedom” to gain global sympathy.

Rather, the barbarian hordes lust after the country’s wealth.....lying-in-wait to wrest it from the indigenous populations and claim it for themselves.

The countries’ ethnic morals and mores will disappear-—and, in its place, the conquering hordes establish their own country.

They have little or no regard for the populations they destroy.

From the little I've seen reported in the news, Hungary has a problem on its border with western Ukraine, both for ethnic Hungarians living in Ukraine and because of Ukrainian Nazi-types getting frisky in eastern Hungary. The last thing they need is a new Muslim population inside its borders.

Is Germany through its ownership of the EU planning to force the weaker, poorer countries of Europe to take these migrants? Wouldn't it be better for the stronger countries to disintegrate ISIS and let the refugees return home? Admit the mistake, and help Assad and other firm-handed rulers keep those places liveable. Leaving those areas to ISIS cannot be good for the future of civilization.

You may well ask-—why don’t Muslim countries take in these refugees?

B/C this is about Muslims invading Christian Europe-—plotting the destruction of Christian countries.

Smart guy.

Sounds like people in Hungary have common sense and guts.

It’s been a long long time since we had leaders that possessed even one of these traits
