Revealed! Inside Look at Why GOP Won't Fight Obama

WASHINGTON – Why won’t Republican leadership in Congress fight President Obama?

It’s the question that frustrates 75 percent of GOP voters and an issue that has likely helped Donald Trump skyrocket in the polls.

Now, WND has obtained a revealing look into the thought process of the congressional Republican elite during a candid email exchange with a Senate leadership aide.

It showed why GOP leadership is apparently so reluctant to effectively confront Obama on such key issues as defunding executive amnesty, Obamacare and Planned Parenthood.

The dialogue also revealed why Republican leadership employs a strategy of confronting the president with words, but has expressed a reluctance to take risks and to use perhaps the only potent tool in lawmakers’ arsenal: the power of the purse.

It was not a confrontational exchange but one of substance. The Senate aide was gracious enough to take the time to spell out GOP leadership’s position clearly and thoughtfully. WND responded with what it believed to be the views of the GOP party base.

It’s funny that they are afraid of the extremist label, when they will be given that label regardless of their actions.

This is why we need Trump/Cruz. They will have the gonads to force a correction in the entire GOP. The rest of the candidates are just too soft and nothing will change.

My thoughts exactly! Obama and Dems got them just where they want them. The GOP has let them define them.

(1) The White House has got the goods on them. (2) The White House controls the media.

One of N reasons (where N is a large number) why the following is prescient.

The GOP’s not pinin’! It’s passed on! This party is no more! It has ceased to be! It’s expired and gone to meet its maker! It’s a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace!
Its metabolic processes are now ‘istory! It’s off the twig!
It’s kicked the bucket, it’s shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisibile!!
THIS IS AN EX-PARTY!!

Suggesting a shutdown would be fruitless because it could never force the president to budge, the aide was concerned the tactic would play into Democrats’ hands and allow them to win the war in the media.

“If we start from a basic understanding that the Democrats want us to shut down the government (look up what they’ve been saying about us for months, that we are extreme and want a shutdown) to blame us and are more than happy to do it to ‘defend’ Planned Parenthood, as they try to portray us as hating women …”

What the GOP won't accept is that the Democrats want the shutdown because that's how they get their agenda passed. the process is clear.

1. The President doesn't "budge."
2. Democrats foul Republicans to change bills or they will filibuster until government funding runs out.
3. Republicans cave because they fear being blamed for the shutdown more than they fear the anger of their base.

And this is all Mitch McConnell's doing.

Bottom line - weak leadership in both House and Senate.

No, they are just evil. These a-holes fought tooth and nail to get into office. Some even courted the tea party and pretended to be one of them. These people are not weak, they are liars and traitors.

Here’s how I read the aides explanations: afraid, fear, fear, afraid. Leaders, real leaders, don’t govern from fear. I wonder if this aide thinks Obama ever makes a decision based on fear of what the Republcians will do in response or how that decision will look to the media in response. I doubt it.

Extremist really? Isn’t it extreme to support Infanticide? isn’t it extreme to support the use of taxpayer money to be used in the disection and the sale of body parts of aborted babies? Isn’t it extreme to lift sanctions on a terrorist regime and award them 150 billion dollars to use in pursuit of their terror goals much of that money will be used to kill Americans? Isn’t it extreme to use regulations to shutdown the coal industry which employs thousands of US workers? Isn’t it extreme to use a pen and a phone as an effort to go around the legislative branch and pass or amend laws that you decide are best for people? Isn’t it extreme to more than double the national debt and put the country on an economic path to disaster? Isn’t it extreme to swear an oath to uphold the laws of the land and then because you don’t happen to like a particular law you end run the constitution to not enforce that law? Isn’t it extreme to use your office to perpetuate racial division and your rhetoric to create the conditions where people feel it is ok to murder the police? and the list of leftist extremism goes on. The problem with Republicans is they refuse to challenge Liberals and Progressives and that makes them the enablers...
