More taxpaying residents left New York than any other state in the nation, IRS migration data from 2013 shows. During that year, around 115,000 New Yorkers left the state and packed up $5.65 billion in adjusted gross income (AGI) as well.
Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) notes, “This new data shows that New York will remain America’s ‘Biggest Loser,’ having lost nearly 1.6 million taxpayers between 1985 and 2013. Those residents took with them more than $80.8 billion in annual AGI.”
“The phenomenal failure of New York to retain taxpayers and businesses is directly related to its uncompetitive tax and business climates. By some measures, New Yorkers face the greatest tax burden of any state in the nation.”
Although Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo acknowledged that New York is the “highest tax state in the nation” and it has “cost us dearly,” he continues to put forth policies that economically cripple New York residents and businesses.

and 50% of those 1.6 million who left NY are probably democrats who vote for more taxes in other states
New York State, once the “Empire State” has become a shell - with the fake, printed money and debt of Wall Street supporting all of New York City, and running NY’s politics - while the remainder of the State turns back into Appalachia.
Yea, they all come to Florida, talk abiut how expensive it is to live up north, and then proceed promote communist Democrats in office here.
Time to raise taxes to make up for it... :)
I’ve worked for Wall Street Investment Banks. they do treat employees really well. That being said, I certainly dont approve of some of their more dubious actions.
And when mom in law buys the farm, I am out of here.

But, But, the state government has pissed away millions making commercials, telling everyone that the state will help people establish businesses is NY. That New York is business friendly. Democrats wouldn’t lie...
I work on Staten Island now. Amazingly, I found a good paying job here :) And the commute is six minutes instead of 90.
But it’s comforting to know that Skerrvy and he who shall not be named are going to hand Iran 150 billion plus military protection so they can nuke NY and turn me into vapor,

We used to get some of those commercials here in Colorado. I think the state of NY gave companies moving to NY a tax break for so many years. Then the taxes would knock the crap out of the company.
I purchase things from a Camping supply company that was based in NY until recently. They had a big ‘moving’ sale because they were moving to South Carolina to get away from the taxes and other crap in NY.
but their tax structure and business culture is very poor....
they won't allow fracking because some big muckety muck isn't going to get his big payday so why let those loser upstaters earn a few dollars?...
they give out obscene state pensions and then don't tax them for the state income tax....when most of their retirees are state retirees how are they going to function?...
and the graft....there was a big commission appointed by Cuomo to select 3 sites for new big non indian casinos....the Southern Tier had a racino for many years, and the owner really put a lot of money into...maintaining a race course, plus a casino, plus live entertainment...and the Southern Tier has been devastated with the poor NY economy....
but suddenly right before the big announcement was made, the "rules" were changed to include some never heard of site in central NYS and guess what?...that casino and their backers got the bid instead of the Southern Tier....

So the ads offering businesses tax free for 10 years if they move to new York just aint making a dent? Oh, that’s just too bad.You just cant fix stupid.
