Israel charges 2 Druze in assault on wounded Syrian rebels

An Israeli court charged two Druze from the Golan Heights with murder Monday in the mob killing of a Syrian rebel who was being taken to an Israeli hospital for treatment.

The Druze claim that the dead chap - dead thanks to their mauling - was a foreign Islamist gone to Syria to fight with the rebels. The Israelis say he was a Syrian civilian.

But his identity is secret, it has not been made public.
