An 80-year-old Venezuelan woman died, possibly from trampling, in a scrum outside a state supermarket selling subsidized goods, the opposition and media said on Friday. The melee at the store in Sabaneta, the birthplace of former Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, was the latest such incident in the South American nation where economic hardship and food shortages are creating long queues and scuffles.

Ah, the joys of a Communist gulag, the ultimate goal of American Democrats. RIP.

Good thing I can hunt/fish, I don’t have enough food stocked for the length of time these poor folks will be without.

So, are the empty shelves in state-owned stores emptier than the empty shelves in the private stores? Or do they even have private stores anymore?

Someone needs to do a photoshop with a roll of toilet paper as the new symbol of the Communist party.
Every time you see a picture of a bunch of people in a communist country it seems to be their main objective to get toilet paper.
Also it works on so many levels. LOL
Think about it. It’s kinda like the Bald Eagle for Americans.
It’s something we rarely see but it represents so much about the US!

Fishing maybe if you live on the coast or a big lake. Game resources will be depleted within months of shtf.

Ask anyone who lived through the Great Depression.

Wow. The country can’t produce food anymore but they have what are basically “Big Brother is Watching You” posters everywhere.

This is the wages of a Communist people, lured by the promise of something for nothing. Let the spectacle of Venezuela be a lesson for America. This is the toilet that the Communist Democrats in America have in store for us.

The people in Venezuela could just as well be lemmings jumping off the cliff of disaster. Drug trafficking, corruption, murder, inflation and riots mark Venezuela as a no-go place in the world.

Thank you for posting this.

Terrible news. I hate to see these thing happen. But I am afraid they will get more common place in the time ahead - world wide, as I believe the next financial crash will be global.

If anyone thinks it Can't happen here look at this video of Americans on Black Friday. These people acted like animals, and they were well clothed, fed, and hydrated. They were not in competition for water, medicine for their family, fuel, or food.

No, they were ready to shove, trample, punch, and injure their fellow man or woman for "super deals" on printers, 40" TVs, and blenders.

Black Friday Shopping Chaos

If things go sideways, these same people will murder and maim you to get what they need.

When I was a kid, we had beans & taters one day & taters & beans the next day, with cornbread. School lunches were a treat - hamburgers & those big old homemade rolls, spaghetti, bottles of WHOLE milk - also a candy bar & an 8 oz. cold drink most days. Outside & play & don’t fret about food - hungry between meals? There’s always soda crackers & peanut butter - tomatoes from the garden, apples & peaches from the trees in the yard (wormy, but worms is meat! Eggs from grandmas chickens & fried chicken from grandmas chickens, pimento cheese sandwiches stolen from my aunt’s lunch supply while she was at work . . :o) Twinkie’s 69.
