Foiled European train attack adds to concerns over refugees

After three Americans thwarted a gun- and knife-wielding attacker on a French train Aug. 21, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel said that it might be time for security checks at his nation’s borders with its European neighbors.

“It might be time to adjust the Schengen agreement,” he told Belgian public television, referring to an accord between 26 European nations to allow passport-free travel. “The agreement is important, but we now find ourselves confronted with a new threat scenario in Europe.”

It’s the sort of political statement that, when made on the heels of a thwarted attack, can appeal to the public. Experts note, however, that it’s also a notion that cuts at the heart of the idea of a united Europe, with border-free travel being one of the more dearly held, and symbolically important, aspects of the European experiment.

Last week, (I live in Germany) state-run TV ran a piece on a poll that the network did (roughly 2000 in the survey). Then they came to say that 80-percent of Germans were pro-immigration/refugee and only 20-percent were against the current situation.

I kinda sat there and looked over the questions and have doubts that the survey represents the country at large. I’ve come to notice that the majority of network journalists are pro-immigrant but they never seem to ask the questions...if there are a million coming into Germany in 2015....will there be another million in 2016? Where will they reside? What job training will you have to offer and who will pay for the training?

The German federal gov’t (out of Berlin) tried for months to pretend there is no cost to this whole thing...forcing states and communities to pay for ‘hosting’ the refugees and immigrants. That’s been fixed to a degree, but everyone has some sour taste over what’s going on.

It is about time they rebelled and may be too late now. But better late than never. I hope they have a plan to unload the Muslims and their preferences and culture and to readopt their own culture.

Always need a plan of action/legislation when you have treasonous idiots in power. One thing, it has to be a crime for police not to enforce the law as they in to the Brits in protecting a Paki child molestion ring. Make them more afraid to violate the law than they are to enforce the law and be called bad names by bad people. Get rid of speech crimes with regards to any group!

Outlaw and prosecute radical islam on the whole territory. Make it a crime to abet this crime and for authorities to violate enforcement of this law. Give rewards to people who turn in corrupt political, police and court officials. Outlaw Sharia. Make it a crime for Muslims to violate the rights of women and children - like for everyone else. If they don’t like it they can go to a Muslim Nation.
