JUST IN: Brian Chilson reports from federal courthouse that Judge Leon Holmes has sentenced former Arkansas Treasurer Martha Shoffner to 30 months in prison for taking bribes for state bond business. It will be followed by some supervised release. No fine was assessed. The 71-year-old will have to report to a Fort Worth prison in 60 days.

At least she didn’t have to give back the money. If she got enough in bribes, it may have been a good business decision.

The only Fort Worth I know of is in Tarrant Co. Texas and there is no prison there.
...I’m guessing she’s a Dem holdover from the days when Clinton was Governor of AR.
There is a federal pen on the west side of Fort Worth -- FCI Fort Worth
Jim McDougal, of Whitewater fame, was imprisoned and died there.

Thanks. I’d forgotten about that place, but locals here don’t consider it to be a prison.
It’s a low security facility for MALE inmates and looks nothing like a real prison (ref, Huntsville TX prison).
The 71 y/o woman isn’t being placed there.
