Pollsters Despise the Electorate, Are 'Astonished' at Trump
Freep | 8/27/2015 | CharlesOconnell

"Pollsters dumbfounded by Trump". Their ostensible task is to "predict" which candidate will be nominated and win. Their hidden task, their real motive, is to jimmy the process, to influence and, if possible, actually decide who will be the next resident of the, still, most powerful chair in the world.

Pollsters are so fixated on working their black magic, the one obvious factor completely escapes their notice: People crave the truth. Even the ugly truth. They crave it so much, they’re willing to be told the truth by an obnoxious bozo. No particular bozo. Any one will do. Just so the truth is unvarnished. So truth consumers can decide for themselves what to do with it.

The real stumbling block for Pollsters is that they despise the electorate they want to manipulate. If a Pollster equivalent of Trump were ever to arise, the first prerequisite would have to be, that he not despise the electorate.

That may not be possible, by the fundamental definitions of the Pollster game, however unspoken, however unspeakable.

Pat Cadell impresses me as honest. What’s his take on Trump? I haven’t seen him on FOX in a while.

Luntz’s post debate focus group were apparently recent releases from halfway houses who had limited awareness. Since then he saw the writing on the wall and did a more balance focus group.

I just don’t think Trump is a bozo. He has made a lot of money and he enjoys spending it doing things he enjoys, such as a reality TV show. Is this really any different than Bill Gates dressed up in Star Trek Uniform at a Star Trek convention, which was something he enjoyed doing? Both of these men are very very wealthy businessmen. But if Bill Gates decided to run for president would he be called a clown, a bozo? Probably not, because Bill Gates is an appropriately left wing Democrat.

He is on fox business right now and says Trump has the pulse of the republican base and that we are pissed at the sellout leadership. I don’t know who the blond shill is on the show but you can tell she is worried about what Cadell is saying and trying to talk over him when he speaks.

I ain’t no pollster but I got a thought or two.
Americans are tired of PC. They’re sick of the
idea that any amount of criticism of the POTUS
amounts to racism even if they don’t have a
particular gripe with the POSPOTUS. They don’t
believe fewer jobs is the new normal. They are
not going to hitch catchy bumper stickers to
their cars in protest of “BO the WORST”. Instead,
they are protesting the status quo by throwing some
love at someone who is calling out Obama and the RINOs.
That is the way I see it.

I like Cadell like you do. He appears on FNC Sat & Sun afternoon with a GOP operative and another Dem operative (I think the three are all retired). It’s a great segment on the afternoon show. I think the segment is called Political Insiders.
