Her grant money? Did she inherit it?
These people think that grant money magically appears out of nowhere and that attracting more grants is always a good thing. They completely ignore the fact the money comes from taxpayers, and that irresponsible use of grant money on meaningless projects should be a crime.
The grant money was awarded to her to fund her research. If she's not at Wisconsin-Milwaukee then the grant will either follow her or go away. It's not going to stay at the university if they don't have someone to do the research they're paying for.
