WALMART TO QUIT SELLING AR-15S, CLAIMS DECISION ‘NOT POLITICAL’
Breitbart News ^ | 08/26/2015 | AWR Hawkins

Just months after winning against a Trinity Church lawsuit designed to force Walmart to quit selling AR-15s and “high capacity” magazines, Walmart corporate says it will quit selling AR-15s of its own accord.

Moreover, corporate stresses that the decision is “not political.”

According to Gun Talk radio host Tom Gresham, Walmart corporate “confirmed” their decision to quit selling AR-15s on August 25.

Gresham tweeted, “CONFIRMED with Walmart corporate offices. Getting rid of AR-15s. They aren’t selling. Replacing with hunting guns. ‘Not political.'”

This latest gun-related decision comes after the retail giant has spent a decade shifting back and forth on guns and gun sales. In 2013, Walmart’s vacillation on guns included meetings between Walmart “representatives” and then-Attorney General Eric Holder.

I quit buying from them already over the CSA flag. No loss to me, no gain for them.

Big deal. Go to a gun shop and get expert advice on make/performance instead of pimple faced Timmy’s opinion.

I buy nothing from Walmart.

“Replacing with hunting guns.” Since AR’s are really just a modern style rifle, the term “hunting guns” really just means outdated technology.

Buy parts from Palmetto State and pay less than 600 for a good rifle with a FN barrel.

Noooooo no no no it’s not political. It’s only the most popular selling rifle in America.... can’t make any money selling those. It’s a business decision, to much competition in those sales.

I checked a couple days ago. No ARs or the like - at a store that usually had at least a half-dozen at any time.

Could indeed be sales, considering that hunting season is coming (EBRs can be used for deer hunting certainly, but bolts & larger calibers are far more popular for taking large game).

We’ll see if they return around February, hunting season largely being over.

I quit buying from WM long ago because of their strident homo-advocacy.

And you can get a DPMS or CORE-15 for less than that.
Anyone wondering, now’s the time to buy. C-Product mags.

Many jurisdictions disallow using small calibers like .223 on deer.

They about two years ago they started selling AR-15s again.

Let Wal-Mart suck EBT money from criminals and non-producers. Hard-working folks should avoid that murky junk shop.

I was unaware of that note. I am just happy to say that I am one of the few people who made way more money off of Walmart than Walmart made off of me. Once a phenomenon, now just institutional sludge.

I bet this is actually true. Most people who want AR's have them.

Still won't shop there, not after the Confederate Flag crap.

.223/5.56mm is specifically illegal for game animal hunting in most Western states.
