How about a pledge to honor the laws of this nation rather than a pledge to honor a party?

How about a pledge to tell the corporate lobbyists and cheap labor lobby to go to hell.

You’d think they’d take an introspective look at why he’s resonating with the rank-and-file to the extent he is, and perhaps examine their own priorities.

Forcing someone to pledge loyalty to someone who is yet to be determined, is a lot like passing legislation to find out what’s in it. It’s not democratic at the core.
Any republican that proposes this loyalty oath should be run out of the party.

I would also very much like to see the GOP be forced to take an oath to fully support its nominee and his policies.

It seems the Tea Party put up some candidates that the GOPe then didn't support in the general election, going instead with a republican incumbent that switched to independent when they lost in the primary. Maybe the GOPe needs to pledge to support Trump if he gets the nomination.

Cuccinelli has "clarified" ....
Anybody who wants to seek the Republican nomination should have to commit to supporting the ultimate Republican nominee, Cuccinelli said in a Monday interview. I dont see anything wrong with that.
In an email sent after this story was published, Cuccinelli sought to clarify his feelings about the billionaire businessman. Donald Trump is an important candidate in the race for the White House and I dont think he or anyone else should be blocked from running as a Republican, he said.

If they didn’t intend to rig the game there’d be no necessity for any pledge.
It’s obviously aimed at Trump. So fhe fact that they insist that he pledge, is the proof that they intend to shaft him.
