Did Luntz and the other members of the GOPe think that we'd forget what happened in Mississippi? FRiend, that was my "Hank Rearden" moment. What Boehner and McConnell have done since last November simply solidified my position: no more holding my nose when I vote.

Sure the GOP noticed the Tea Party.
Just enough to want to destroy it.

They recognised the Tea Party as the enemy within and instantly started chemotherapy to kill off the unwanted organism.
Mission mostly accomplished.

The GOPE forgot that chemo plays merry hob with the immune system.

Enter Trumpmania.
An organism that is not only strangely resistant to chemotherapy, but seems to thrive on the treatment.
And with an immune system decimated by the chemo treatment used on the Tea Party, there is nothing left to fight Trumpmania.

Having celebrated the demise of Tea Partyitis, they completely left themselves open to another virulent pest.
This one just may kill the patient.
