Specifically, the agency is up in arms over "charas" -- a handmade form of hash from India that even I had never heard of -- as the Wiki page reportedly constitutes "instructions" on how to make the stuff. And since Wikipedia, like Reddit, employs HTTPS, there's no way for the Russian government to censor that single page. As such, the entire Wikipedia site is completely offline for all of Russia and will remain so until the Roscomnadzor gets its way.

Used to be able to get hash. Then it completely disappeared from the market. No big deal as I quit smoking it 25 years ago,,,,, but I did enjoy it!

I think the ‘by hand’ method is literally by hand. They’ll rub the resin rich leaves and buds on their hands, then rub their hands together until it takes a shape.

No, I had my own home/condo improvement company. Was on 24/7 call for 30 years running a small water company. Gigged from 8pm until 2am 5 to 7 nights a week. I was quite busy!.
Just got tired of pot making me more and more nervous as it got stronger and stronger. I wasn’t fun or relaxing anymore, so I simply stopped.
Gosh that stuff knocked my on my butt!
PS: this charas is called finger hash in English. It is made by hand and is a labor-intensive process. It gets all over the hands of the folks who make it and it’s not fun at all, similar to having pine tree sap on you.
That said, hash is easily made using dry ice. That method keeps it off the skin and is way less messy.
