Police arrested man who allegedly fired at gunman who killed three people and wounded four others

Not sure about their copywrite policy of the NY Post Star, so I'll just summarize,
Police have arrested a Rochester NY man who fired at a gunman who opened fire on a crowd of people standing outside the Rochester Boys and Girls Club- The shooter killed three people and wonded four people.
32-year-old Quartermaine Titus then fired at the leaving vehicle with a .22, and has been arrested for trying to protect the public apparently
You can read the short news story here:

Apparently when gunmen open fire on vulnerable crowds, we're expected to sit idly by and do nothing, and allow the gunmen to escape unharmed- I suppose next the law will require us to give the gunmen all our cash and SS numbers before they depart.
Anyway- pretty sad that people aren't allowed to protect those around them any longer- Details on the story aren't fully known yet, but it 'appears' that Titus is now a possible criminal for trying to protect the crowd and stop a mass murderer- but I'll reserve judgment until more is known

In some states self defense and protecting others are far more serious crimes than multiple murder. Criminals are vicarious agents of the Government who do their jobs keeping the middle class off balance.

Sure he wasn’t arrested for being named “Quartermaine Titus”?
To: Bob434
Question is, was he a criminal previously? Ie, was he a felon-in-possession?

He’s apparently the son of an extraordinary gentleman but isn’t really all that extraordinary himself.

That’s what I wondered, but I would think the police report news report would include that info if he was a felon
