Lower taxes, smaller government, and illegal immigration are political questions, and they will not improve with liberals in power. That’s why I vote Republican.

Abortion, which I detest as much as anyone here, is a Supreme Court made law, hence it’s like Gay marriage: The best we can hope for is to made exceptions (like faith - not forcing doctors to perform them), and draw the line at late term abortions, parental consent, etc. Any limitation will never happen with liberals in power, and might with Republicans in power with a Republican Pres and Ginsberg replaced by a Republican appointee.

Another reason to vote Republican.

True, but we do have three conservative Justices who are Republican appointees, and no conservative Justices who were appointed by Dems.

These disgusting t#$ts would have us "move on" from Obamacare ("the law of the land"), homosexual marriage, abortion, illegal immigration. There is NOTHING they will stand for.

And they wonder why a New York City guy like Trump gets 30,000 people in a stadium in Alabama.

Possible Republican presidential candidate and Ohio Gov. John Kasich believes it's "time to move on" from the same-sex marriage issue in the wake of the Supreme Court's landmark ruling.

With all due respect to Gov. Kasich, will somebody in Ohio please ask low-information Gov. Kasich the following question. Noting that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect gay “marriage,” why did the Founding States make the 10th Amendment?

And even if you get nothing but a blank stare from him when you ask him that question, would you please let us know what his response was?

Now that you put it like that, one wonders if he used to “double date” with Dennis Hastert. /sarc>

The time has come to move on from John Kasich.

One wonders how John Kasich would have said “Let’s move on from the Dred Scott decision. After all, the court has ruled.”

You misunderstand the technique the homos and left is using.

They are in your face every minute of every day. Faggot marriage this, dyke marriage that. Trans-sexual whatever. That’s their technique. You have got to stop falling for whatever it is that is the present fad among the “activists”.

They had the “ribbon” campaigns years ago for the Gay Plague, Breast Cancer, or whatever “awareness” they wanted to raise. I ignored it and told whomever wanted to raise my “awareness” that I simply don’t want to hear it and don’t care. If they persisted, they were treated to more than they bargained for.

You spend your time letting them set the agenda, and the terms of the debate.

I refuse to discuss it. There is no such thing as sodomite marriage, no matter what the SCOTUS or any other state legislature or judge has to say about it. I will not recognize any such sodomite union. I will not debate them on it, nor will I negotiate. A debate assumes that I am willing to consider their position, I am not. Therefor I am not going to engage them.

We need to start telling these sodomites they are insane and to STFU. We need to stop engaging them.

Maybe they do want to eliminate the age of consent, in order for something like that to gain any traction it has to have a listener, especially one who is willing to engage in debate. I am not.

Agree 110 percent - by force of arms if need be.

And just what “law” did the 5-4 decision recognize? Was same-sex marriage legislation passed by Congress and signed into law by a president? Show me the g-damned effing statute! You can not! No such “law” exists, and nor could it exist.

Four fascist oligarchs rode rough shod over the U.S. Constitution, the Constitutions of several sovereign States and the expressed will of the American People.

These four black-robed tyrants should be dragged from their chambers, tried for their crimes, and upon certain conviction, they should be stood up against a wall and shot.

No American should tolerate this tyrannical crap any further.

I tell you true, the first response from me upon this decision was to refuse to further file a federal tax return - I held off my 2014 return until the decision was handed down - after which, I tore up the return. I can not stop my employer from deducting federal taxes - but I can take the maximum exemptions allowed by law, and then refuse to file a return.

I took the same action with the State of Nebraska ... That cowardly little surrender-monkey turd that we now have for a governor, Pete Ricketts - a supposed Catholic - gave the same spiel as Kasich. I suspected from the beginning of his candidacy that Ricketts was just a pompous and loud-mouthed empty suit, who spewed well-rehearsed talking points just like a “pull-string’ doll. My gut told me he was a complete phony .... His roll-over submissive puppy response to the black-robed oligarchs proved my suspicions correct.

To hell with all of them!

I WILL NOT LEND MY SUPPORT TO AN IMMORAL GOVERNMENT!

Time to move on... to the next stop at which to wave the white flag.

I take it abortion and PP, illegals and anchor babies must be stops from which he moved on a long time ago.

Far from moving on, we should seize the opportunity to fix the legal web of ridiculousness surrounding normal marriage.

Divorce rates are through the roof and the insanity of the family court system is a major driver of that. It provides way too many incentives to split up families and way too few incentives to keep them together.

If we had more respect for real marriages, the absurdity of homosexual marriages would be more widely apparent.

This is the kind of GOP rhetoric that has republicans flocking to Trump.

Actually, it can be undone by the executive and legislative branches ignoring the ruling. The SC doesn’t have ultimate power.
